My first sandwich loaf!!! Took me 3 tries to get this recipe and definitely could have used a little more time in the oven but practice makes perfect! Here is the recipe I used. Let me know what you think!
Chef friends— what do you think?
INGREDIENTS
• 175 grams water
• 200 grams active starter
• 5 grams sugar
• 5 gram salt
• 15 grams melted salted butter (1 Tablespoon)
• 400 grams bread flour
With extra water and flour on the side
DIRECTIONS
1. Place water in a large mixing bowl and add in starter with melted butter, stir to combine. Add in remaining ingredients and stir until well combined. Dough should clean the sides of the bowl.
2. Knead for 8-10 minutes. Dough shouldn’t stick to your fingers. If need incorporate extra water and flour.
3. Let sit and do pull and fold, twice every 30 minutes
4. Lightly flour surface and roll out dough into a rectangle. Roll up into a loaf, tucking edges under to create tension on top. Place in parchment lined or greased loaf pan.
5. Cover so it doesn’t develop a skin or dry out and allow to rise until doubled and up even with edges of loaf pan. this takes about an hour and half. Right before baking, brush top with melted butter.
6. Bake in preheated 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30 to 40 minutes. *I did 35 minutes and it could of used an extra 5 minutes*
7. Remove from loaf pan onto cooling rack and allow to cool for at least 15 to 20 minutes (longer if possible) before slicing.

CORRECTION: This promotion runs Sept. 2 through Sept. 15, and is coffee only. It does not include fountain drinks. We apologize for any confusion.
Pennsylvania teachers and support staff can enjoy free coffee from Wawa throughout September, thanks to the convenience store’s Cheers to Classrooms program.
From Sept. 2 through Sept. 15, teachers, administrators, and school support staff just need to show their school ID at the register to get any size Wawa hot coffee for free.
“As everyday heroes of the classroom return back to school, we’re delighted to toast a new year by providing free coffee and beverages to teachers and school staff for the first two weeks of August,” said Robert Yeatts, Senior Director of Store Operations, Wawa. “We hope this small gesture shows our deep appreciation for everything educators and school staff do for children in the community.”
