Next meeting for our group is Thursday, March 12th at 5pm. We will be located in the Vault conference room at the Greenwood City Center (I didn’t know that was a thing either 😂). Happy New Year!! I cannot believe it’s 2020. I remember as a kid thinking “wow, when it’s the year 2000 I will be 40 years old. Here we are 20 years later and I just passed my 60th year on this planet. I was with my sister in law recently and made a comment about an old ladies driving. It dawned on me the term “old lady” applies to me. 😂
So here we are 1st day of a new decade. I am laying out my plans for continuing on to a healthier lifestyle, break out of my comfort zone and try new things. 2019 seemed to be full of illness and a trip to the ER for chest pains. The old ticker is good so no excuses!
I will let you know when our January meeting date and time will be for our group. Let’s kick off 2020 supporting each other and making ourselves the best people we can possibly be!!

Have been struggling as of late to get my steps in. Putting a lot of things ahead of my own health. Took the day off and knocked out a 5k on the treadmill at the Community Center. Felt good to get back in the groove! 12,000 + steps in today!!

Hello all! Elizabeth Brown and myself have put our heads together and have started a “get healthy” support group amongst the employees with the City of Greenwood. We hope to get people together from all stages of a healthy lifestyle so we can exchange tips, facts, recipes, exercise programs, etc. Many thanks to the City Of Greenwood who will be allowing us to use a room at the City Offices for our meetings. Please help us to get the word out to other city employees who may also be interested and have them message our page. With our meetings being at the city offices, Liz will be available to weigh you in at the clinic. You do not have to worry about sharing your weight with the group as we respect everyone’s privacy and if you feel like sharing with others in the group feel free to do so! We will have a meeting date in the next few days and hope to see you at our first meeting!!
