Ramadan Mubarak! 🤲 🌙 Ramadan is one the holiest months of Islam, celebrated by Muslim people all over the world! This sacred month is dedicated for worship, charitable giving, family, and spiritual reflection. ⁣
⁣
As one of the 5 pillars of Islam, Muslims fast from all foods and drinks from sunrise until sunset. Fasting is meant to cleanse the soul, and express empathy for those who are less fortunate. Friends and family end their fasts with and evening meal together called Iftar.⁣
⁣
Muslims revere the holy month of Ramadan as it is believed that it was the month in which God revealed the very first verses of the Holy Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. ⁣
⁣
To mark the end of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate a special holiday called Eid-Al-Fitr. Some wonderful traditions during Eid include going to the Mosque for prayer, donating to charity, exchanging gifts and sharing yummy meals with each other!
