πŸ’€ABR STORY TIMEπŸ’€

This black bear was harvested earlier this fall. Once recovered, it was quickly realized that this bear was a warrior that had minor wounds all over his body. The initial thought was that he had been fighting other bears "I'm sure some were" , however that certainly was not the case for ALL the battle scars.
Progressing through the mounting processing, we realized that one wound on his head was actually caused by a broadhead!
This tough beast had been walking around with a broadhead lodged into its skull and had already healed over.
He was a walking testament of how tough and resilient these creatures are.

Congratulations Chuck! Awesome harvest and an even better story πŸ’€

New Beaver project I've played around with the last couple of weeks. The skull is mounted to a piece of walnut boarding which is covered by a piece of preserved hyde from its own tail. Table top epoxy made an excellent replica for a water habitat.
Awesome trophy and one happy customer.

I may never get an opportunity to preform a European mount on an animal like this one. This bear had an old injury where it apparently was shot in the face many years ago. The entire left side of its face had buck shot rounds embedded in its skull and its upper left canine was completely obliterated. This is a testament of how tough and resilient these animals are.

To celebrate Halloween a little early, we present the DRACULA buck πŸ§›β€β™‚οΈ
This buck has two upper canines. Data shows that this occurrence only happens in less than 1% of whitetail deer. Ancestors of the modern whitetail actually had long, curved and sharp canines/tusks that they used for survival.
This is truly a rare and awesome harvest.
Great trophy and happy customer.
