- You’ve spent a big or significant part of your life abroad
- You consider your cultural identity to be a mix of both your host and home country’s
If they do, then consider yourself special!
Being a Third Culture Kid means that you have a unique cultural identity as a result of your stay abroad. Although moving back may generate feelings such as homesickness and anxiety, we’re here to let you know that it is completely natural and part of the experience.

Moving to a new place and having to call it ‘home’ can be scary, it’s unusual and unfamiliar. But don’t worry, cause we’ve got your back! BalikBata aims to educate third culture kids moving home for the first time, with information ranging from experiences of other TCK’s, useful day-to-day phrases, how to get around, etc.
