So excited to be doing a Live with talking about how to teach and promote speech/language with your little ones!
Join us this WEDNESDAY at 10:00!
Want to boost your child’s vocabulary? Give them a “forced choice” question so that they will have to use a word to tell you what they want!
This is so true. We can’t always expect kids to communicate the way we do. When we open our heart to our children with compassion, we can hear them more clearly. Thanks for the reminder 💗
Sometimes we need the reminder! Our little ones are little people with their own opinions and personalities 💗 supporting them doesn’t mean you have to agree with them 💗
Love this reminder, ! It’s amazing how a slight change of perspective can have a massive impact on children’s behaviour.
It’s never too early to start reading with your kids! When they’re little, use it as a bonding opportunity. As they get older, use your finger to follow along and sound out the letters and words together!
Use routines and songs to teach language! Sing a song and pause - let your little one fill in the blank. They will use that opportunity to join in with you AND to practice language!

Why?

🤩and we are 💗💗💗
Yes, kids struggle; yes, parents struggle; BUT if we keep in mind that are are all unique and grow at our own rate and in our own way, it leaves space to see the genius in each and every being.

Why does it always come down to the snacks?!?
What are your favourite books to read to your little ones?
Hey, it’s imitation. I’d be happy!
This is hard. Consistency is key. You’ve got this.
What topics should I cover? I would love to know what you want to hear more about!
Quick tip: don’t be afraid of the silence after you ask a question. When you’re talking with your little one, pause after you ask a question and see what they do. Communication is not just words - it can be a look, a point, a focalization or laugh! Wait for your child to communicate snd then talk for them and label for them. This builds vocabulary and confidence!
Quick tip! Slow your speech and don’t be afraid of the quiet that comes after a question. Leave time between your comment or question for your child to communicate with you - a look, a point, a sound - and then label for them!
