I understand that I may not be for everybody but I know that I’m for somebody. I stand for something.
If what I stand for offends you please step to the side so that the people that need to hear my message can hear it clearly.
My name is Shonna Boykins I am an artist and wellness advocate for women of color.
My mission as an artist is to heal the condemned spirit of self hate in the black female goddess community and place royal images of the black females back into art culture.
Why? Because we were an essential part of the history, but the good stories are too far in between for my liking.
My mission as a wellness advocate is to hold space for black women healing themselves and their families from traumatic lifestyles.
What motivates me is knowing that a safe place exists for black women to be beautiful and to be educated. Loved. And guided. on their paths of holistic wellness.
My goal is to help women like myself to become aware of what their healing looks like and guide them by a way of creativity.
