January kicks the Year off with National Thyroid Awareness Month. As a person with thyroid disease I have a passion for helping people deal with Thyroid Disease. As an Optician for nearly 30 years I wanted more. I wanted to expand my territory in the field to help. So I along with my niece Micaila created YEUX Lash and Beauty, with a FOCUS on lash loss issues.
Around our eyes is one of the first signs of Dis-ease in the body, especially with losing hair around the eyes. Visit our shop at YEUX.SHOP to help with replacement of lashes from Thyroid Disease, other diseases that may cause issues around the eye or if you want to elevate to a more healthy beauty routine. So just as I was finalizing my thoughts to begin a deeper Vegan journey...This happened! I can make difficult pastries from around the world but my praline game was never strong. So in 2020 I FINALLY perfected the Southern Pecan Praline!!

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
4oz of evaporated milk
1 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
2 tablespoons of REAL VANILLA
7 tablespoons of butter

In a saucepan add all sugars, butter, and evaporated milk.
Turn flame on medium and cook to a boil to 230 degrees. (A candy thermometer will help here)
When it gets to 230, continue to boil for 5 minutes.
Stir
Remove from heat source.
Add Vanilla.
Fold in pecans and continue to stir until it starts to harden to a toffee consistency.
Quick drop on wax paper in piles
Let cool
