Momma dog is doing well. Pups are chunky little things! Can't wait to continue to watch these guys grow!

Mark your calendars for the 2024 Ella Duffy Spring Field Trial event. Here is all of the information. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out directly. 

EIHA and The Idaho Houndsmen Association (Rachael kidd and her boy) made the long drive to Lewiston to attend the fish and game commission meeting. They can always tell when their is something stirring in the hound community, the Houndsman come out in force! It was a packed house and it’s always nice to make your voice heard (you can fill out a form and speak for 3 minutes). The new Black Bear survey has every bear hunter shaking their heads from the baiter to the Houndsman to the spot and stalk guys. We had the opportunity to talk with the developer of the plan and then with the Director concerning the survey and some of the questions. The Director told us this survey was just supposed to be a scoping for the new bear Managment plan. It was not intended to separate user groups. We will keep on top of it and follow it in the process and see we’re it goes from here, It’s a long process. If you want to watch the second day of the commission meetings you can watch them on zoom or they are recorded for later. today had a lot of information on their…sturgeon, lion management plan, antler season and state wide deer harvest information. This is were you see all the work fish and game has been working on and doing.
I know it’s hard to speak from the podium but it does help to make your voice heard even if it’s just a few minutes. Make sure your voice is heard, you can send an email, make a phone calls or stand up at the podium and stand up for what you love. Just remember to always be polite and voice your opinions,concerns and compliments. Their is always someone that will do it for you, but their is strength in numbers!
We have a very good relationship with the commissioners, the Directors, biologists and even the attorney generals office which is super nice when we see a concern. If you have any questions on how this works or what you can do to help let us know.
