I went to a D2 school to play basketball bc the coach SHOWED me how much he wanted me, and he had a plan for how I fit with his offense and the team.

Have you registered for the NCAA Eligibility Center yet?
If you are being recruited by a D1 or DII school, you need to register for a certification account in the NCAA Eligibility Center, (formerly known as the NCAA Clearinghouse).
4️⃣ THINGS YOU NEED:
1️⃣. Valid email address that you will have access to after high school.
2️⃣. Basic education history. Includes a list if all high schools or secondary schools you attended and the dated that you attended them.
3️⃣. Sports participation history.(Certification accounts only)
Include details about any teams with which you have practiced or played or events in which you participated, as well as information about any individuals that have advised you or marketed your skills.
4️⃣. Payment. (Certification accounts only).
The registration fee is $90 for students from the United States and its territories, and Canada. The registration fee is $150 for students from all other countries. You must pay online by debit, credit card or e-check. Some students may be eligible for a fee waiver.
Walking on when you're looking for a scholarship is NOT a good idea! Find a school that fits your game and a coach who REALLY wants you! The scholarship is there, you just have to know your worth, while also being self aware! Listen to the full show. Link in bio!

How do you know if a coach is really interested in you? Many student athletes think when they get a letter from a college that they are ACTIVELY being recruited. NOT TRUE. Have you been on an OFFICIAL visit? Has the coaching staff been to your home? THAT is when you are actively being recruited.
NOTE: You can take AS MANY visits to a school as you want on your dime. That is NOT an official visit. An OFFICIAL VISIT is when the college pays for you to spend a maximum of 48 hours on campus to meet the team, administrators etc.

My recruiting process was cool, but one thing I knew FOR SURE was that I wasn't sitting on the bench!! I wanted a chance to start or compete for PT..but sitting was NEVER an option. I just never understood how people could..but it was their choice. It just couldn't be me!!
