Customer brought in a Poulan chainsaw, said it would start then shut off. Upon further inspection we found the fuel lines all broken, primer bulb busted, and carburetor all gunked up, also the foam air filter was deteriorating. After all those repairs we added fresh fuel and the saw fired right up we went ahead and gave it a good carburetor adjustment and a chain sharpening and it returned to its home! 🚨🚨🚨This engine is out of a newer era Briggs and Stratton 17.5hp single cylinder, these engines are notorious for the camshaft compression release breaking. When this happens you have parts free floating inside your engine this one got the worst case scenario the block busted and cylinder scored from metal shavings in the oil. This is me every night.

One of our newest customers brought us a zero turn with a 7000series Kohler, these engines are prone to head gasket failure at very low hours. This engine had around 112 hours on it and the photos below show the compression psi for each cylinder. With that being said the customer reached out to 3 different shops in hopes of having it fixed. All it took was one message to us and a compression test and his mower is now back running better than ever! Don’t hesitate to text us with any small engine work or welding repairs! Here’s a mower in for a starter repair

Don’t go spending money on new starters when their is a possibility I could repair yours!

Customer brought us a Troy-Bilt mower with a 23hp Briggs and Stratton intek, thought he needed a new valve installed. Upon further inspection we found that the valves had loosened causing the push rod to fall to the bottom of the crankcase. Now we will be pulling the crankcase and inspecting for internal damage. Be sure to come and see us to get your valves adjusted. We do tune ups, rebuilds and more!!!
