When approaching songwriting it is difficult not to see it like a rubix cube with a million squares on each side. As if the best musicians have a talent or a secret knowledge of something that you do not have. But we all have it - passion. Some more than others, but we all have it.
The artist must let go of ALL preconceptions. If you TRY to do something, you will fail. An artist must accept that his hand is not the only hand in making the art, because you will never expect your greatest pieces of art when they come. You will wonder endlessly on how you ever possibly made it. But the trick is to not let it get technical and to FEEL your art.
