🚨 ATTENTION CRCSD Families! 🚨
Due to forecasted extreme heat on Monday, August 26, 2024, Cedar Rapids Community School District will have an early dismissal:
▪️ High school and middle school students will be dismissed at 10:50 AM
▪️ Elementary school students will be dismissed at 11:50 AM
Lunch will be served to all students before dismissal. Please send a water bottle with your student to help them stay hydrated.
Any updates about high school and middle school practices or activities will be communicated directly from your student’s school. Thank you for your understanding and stay cool!

CRCSD will once again offer FREE student meals over the summer. These meals help ensure kids can still get the nutritious food they may need even when school is closed. These meals are FREE and available to children 18 years of age and younger. Meal locations will rotate around the district and community throughout the summer. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, and lunch will be served from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Check out the link for more details. https://bit.ly/3KxK0C4

Drive-up verification opportunities.

Safety Guidelines:

Only one person per family should be present to register.
Family representatives will wear either a cloth mask or be given a disposable mask to wear during the entire registration process.
Family representatives will be given gloves to wear before touching district computers/items.
If more than one family representative arrives at the same time, they should remain in their car until the previous family representative has completed registration.
Communicate with families in advance and ask that the family representative be free of the following COVID symptoms for the previous 14 days:
a temp above 100.4
showing any symptoms of illness, with or without a fever:
Cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing
Chills, severe body aches/pains, extreme fatigue, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste/smell
they have a possible, or confirmed, exposure to COVID 19 by a close contact.

CRCSD will be offering family and community feedback sessions at various school sites across the district. These sessions are being provided to share information regarding our current draft plan for student engagement in the fall as well as collect suggestions and feedback from all of you regarding your thoughts and ideas.
