Jamie Christian . A true inspirational figure in the industry.

Jamie is one of the biggest IFBB Pro Bodybuilders to ever grace the earth, standing at 6’6” and weighing in at up to 350lbs in his offseasons. Jamie has been a true inspiration as he’s moved on to the next chapter of his life to pursue his true calling as the GIANT in Gladiators.

Jamie’s journey has been truly inspirational facing some real hardship, starting from the bottom and now climbing back up to very top working on his career in TV, whilst staying true to his roots as a father, a husband, a gym owner and a coach.

50 lbs up in 34 weeks without getting fat ? How ?

Eating to your needs is the answer, more food does not equate more muscle. You will need to push calories & training over time but it does not happen with a week or with burgers and pizzas weekly.

Gaining muscle over time takes patience, you have to see performance trending up, you have to see your bodyweight rising alongside of it but without visual changes in body fat happening on week to week basis so this means the actual rate of gain has to be slow and controlled. If you are gaining anything above 1 lb a week assisted or not most of that won’t be muscle but bodyfat.

If you want to transform your physique, you need time, patience and you need to eat to your needs whilst focusing on performance in the gym.

Class win for this weekend, we are sitting at 4 weeks out from Scottish so this was a posing practice on rest day food and nk peaking.

The goal is to bring gnarly condition this year with added size from 2022, for reference the stats of progress made are below. I would say we are even leaner now vs his show last year so I would say over 12kg of tissue added on his frame.

incredible progress so far but we are honestly just tapping into Ryan’s ability to progress, now we have him full time coaching and we don’t have to manage offseason & prep working away on oil rigs we can unleash and keep progressing more and more.

Start point of prep 2022 for and nearly strat point 2024

A very successful offseason. We did a longer offseason as we needed to add a lot of muscle tissue, Claire is still very much a natty so the need to be away from stage being even greater.

We also needed to ensure the body was recovered well from prep and stay healthy for some time as we know it can be demanding.

Cals are HIGH right now from us pushing and dieting when needed and body comp is good for a prep start point.

A big change this offseason too is we went from being a vegan to eating some chicken + fish, the change in body comp and muscle fullness since then has been crazy too.

I’m excited to see the changes from here for prep!

Progress with since August.

Melody was well into an offseason when we began coaching so we finished off her push together, transitioned into a nice diet/pre prep phase and are now in our last push up with foods before we begin prep.

Melody has a lot of experience competing and has many accolades from the natural bodybuilding scene, I'm excited for her first season within the npc with some huge goals outlined for the year.

The biggest goal of all was to take huge strides with her posterior development and with a solid training set up + Mel's hard work and commitment to every part of the process it is all coming together extremely well

Mel is a masters competitor and making huge progress still 🙏🏼

A nice successful offseason with .with.ann

We've worked closely in our time together to improve her food relationship both in a diet phase and offseason. And we're both confident with that now.

AnnBrit trains like an absolute savage, really and truly. 2024 will be her first time to stage amongst Germany's other great natural competitors + I can't wait for it.

As welll as being physically ready for a prep, you have to be mentally ready from a food relationship perspective because it's challenging.

Progress with in 2023.

Anya has competed since the back end of 2022. We had some simple goals build some mass on the glutes predominantly and make sure the body is fresh and in a great spot to hit into prep and things to be smooth sailing.

We spent a long time in a growing phase after show to really help her hormones recovery, after quite a few years of competing on the bounce it had started to take it's tool, so we took some time away to recover and make some SERIOUS changes.

We are currently 12 weeks out from her first show of the season, I'm so excited for her year ❤️

Northern natty demon is coming! pre prep diet ✅ now we slowly come back up whilst retaining condition before we kick start off our contest prep.

88.8kg - 81.2kg in 7 weeks effective and efficient phase dropping the excess bf and retaining training performance through managing frequency and auto regulating his training days.

The calories didn’t change much at all, lowest was around 2.5k training day 2.2k rest day so around a 1.5k calorie drop - 15 mins cardio plus a max of 15k steps daily, one of the easiest diets Owen has done so far :)

18 months on 26.1 kg / 57 lbs up.

We have just concluded our final push up before next years prep. It has been a ride and it has been very very hard, there is no such thing as hard gainers… some people just have to find that extra level of discipline and Ryan did just that.

Breaking this down we did a post show recovery phase, 24 week push up / holding phase / diet and our final 20 week push up now. It wasn’t easy but sure worth it as gains have been outstanding.

Unreal work and I cannot wait to see him peeled.

Immensely proud of Ryan, I have been coaching him and mentoring him for a long time. Seeing Ryan make this kind of progress with his own bb and business is inspiring!

.vlh 32 weeks of work so far 16 kg / 35.2 lbs up in bodyweight.

I am a huge believer that you must push your bodyweight up BUT how you push it up is ultimately the most important factor. Bodybuilding is not weight watchers, pushing weight for sake of weight does nothing, firstly the more bf you slam on fast the less tissue you will grow over time and shorter run way for progression you actually have.

Stay patient, drive up your bodyweight slowly and prioritise training performance. Calories without adequate stimulus does absolutely nothing, key is making sure the bodyweight gain is supported by the food you eat but driven by training stimulus!

Last show of the season for this weekend.

Tuva is usually in the figure category but she wants to switch over to the wellness class.

She wanted to get up there and see where she faired last weekend coming 4th in a competitive lineup.

Now we can move into off-season with our new goal outlined. Firstly we focus on getting health markers and female health into a good spot before we start a big offseason grow phase :)

2nd for at the yesterday.

A really successful end to the season where we have placed in the top 5 in 2 out of 3 shows.

Kerry was my first pro athlete that I work with and my first that I've supported to stage, it's been an honour to do so this year.

We already have plans set in motion and will nail down 100% our steps leading into the 2024 season once she returns home.

Kerry has made HUGE changes to her physique from last year to this year, through good hard training + her dedication to the goal. Very close to the mark with an Olympia qualification yesterday and we know we will continue working hard to make that happen!

A successful first push up of offseason with

83.2 kg --> 90 kg

Bigger but definitely haven't seen bodycomp get aaay from us in anyway. We've done this through taking food progressions only when needed. When you nail the post show and aren't having to be lead by the struggle of controlling hunger, offseasons can be wild.

Excited for the mass we will pop on Agy ahead of next years comps!

2 Offseasons and 2 Totally Different

Sorting your health markers out sometimes isn't very pretty. Fi had come to me in not a very good place, after a long prep that had really seen her female / other health markers be in a slightly scarier position. I was honest with her from the start that if we were going to sort out her markers and be able to get on stage again in the future she needed to trust me and be ok with being uncomfortable and it taking some time.

We had to take a long time away from being in a diet phase to allow this to happen - meaning the point at the left was how we ended that offseason. We dieted a little before getting stuck into a surplus again to help her appetite and to see what happened with her health markers, which actually started to decline pretty quick even in a small diet. So we soon returned to a surplus but found that recovery was back into a great spot (with how bad things were when we first started she would struggle to go very long without a re-set/deload), training performance was booming and overall felt better mentally.

So just after the mid of this year we went through a seriously successful pre prep with body responding extremely well, we've transition into a fantastic offseason (which the pic on the right shows) getting foods way above anything we've seen before, with her body comp in a fantastic place and her now in a great spot mentally

You may go through something similar to Fi with your health for whatever reasoning - you may need to go through an uncomfortable time to get you to a place that's super positive. Paitence + commitment to getting back on track is what you really do need

Offseasons from now me and Fi won't ever have to go back to anything like the left - I'm very excited for Fi and her future.

back in the grow lab

8 weeks in 11kg of bodyweight added, love to see cam back in the grove and on his way to reach his true potential. Less volume, less training days and much more accuracy and intensity across all variables. This has been a piece of cake so far and we have ALL the tools still left to play with. I’m really confident we can hit 275lbs + still relatively lean.

Aesthetics with mass, this combo will make it a very very dangerous super heavy across any show we enter.

Ultimately we can set the game plan but it’s always the athlete that does the work, you can always see who does the work and who talks the talk.
