Fly had a huge weekend of flyball racing - seeing her smash her PB and run 5 flat at start 🤯🤯 her team Thunderdogs 7 came 1st in Div 3 on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday. Buzzy dog was so happy to be back doing her favourite sport 🎾💕

Another breeder brag from me as Dawnus is on a roll this weekend! Huge congratulations to Annabelle & Baron who took out a trifecta of Baby in Groups this weekend in Bungendore in his last weekend in baby! Baron is from our “Heart” litter.

Proud breeder brag! Huge congratulations to Marleen and Kuma for winning 1st place today in JD400 at the Australian Agility Nationals! Kuma was also the only 400 dog to go clear today. Kuma is Ch Neut Ch Dawnus In A League of Bear Own RN ET SWA TD CAX TK.S

Well done to Megan and Winnie (Dawnus Gopher the Moon) along with handler Monica on attaining her Australian Championship. Winnie becomes the 12th Champion for Dawnus Kennels. Thank you to everyone involved!

Huge congratulations to Brandi & Maverick who won 2 Best in Groups on the weekend and converted one under a gundog specialist to Best in Show! Check out the size of that rosette!

The Dawnus team is happy to showcase our versatile Aussies as well. Halo and Squirrel are proudly bred by Lanbart and compete in a wide range of sports. If you are looking for an Aussie please check out Lanbart. Squirrel and Halo will be having litters for Lanbart in 2025 onwards.

On the weekend some of the Dawnus crew headed down to the Southern Highlands to compete in their annual scent work trial. I am happy to announce that the mother daughter duo of Bear & Kiwi picked up their final pass that they required to each earn their Scent Work Novice titles! Pending DNSW they can be known as Ch Neut Gr Ch Dawnus Always Dare to Dream ET WPD SWN and Ch Dawnus Cheese All Black JC AFCH SWN.

Another successful trip to Cootamundra for the Dawnus Dogs with Alfie (Ch Dawnus Dont Dream Its Gopher) picking up 2 Runner Up in Groups and our “stolen” Aussie Halo (Lanbart Hold My Halo SWA) picking up the final points she required for her Australian Championship!

Huge congratulations to owner Marleen, handler Leah and Aiko - Dawnus Work of Heart on a great debut with Baby in Show at the Gundog Club of WA this past weekend 🥳

The Dawnus crew had a fabulous day sniffing at Hills Dog Club trial. Cricket gained her final Advanced pass to earn her Scent Work Advanced title. Pending DNSW she can be known as Ch Killara’s First Class Ticket SWA (IMP USA). Bear sniffed her way to 3 Novice passes with her Aunty Shell. Alfie in only his second trial picked up 2 Novice passes and Phoenix came out for the day picking up 1 Advanced pass. A good day all around for the Fields!

Last weekend saw Kiwi and Fly head out to compete in flyball with their team Thunderdogs 7 at the Hawkesbury Show. Thanks to for these fabulous shots of the girls.

Whilst I couldn’t go to Sydney Royal myself I was lucky to be able to send Alfie & Fly with friends to be shown. Alfie won Reserve Challenge and Fly Neuter of Breed. Thank you to Yvonne & Shell for getting them in the ring for me.

Fly was our star this weekend winning a lovely Neuter in Show at Robertson Show Society. The special prize for this win is a bag of potatoes - Robertson region is renowned for their spuds and is home of the big potato!!!

On Saturday night Fly picked up the final pass she needed for her Scent Work Novice title. Pending DNSW she can be known as Ch Neuter Ch Dawnus Bear Force One SWN FMX WPD. She truly is such a versatile dog spending her weekend between shows and scent work and never missing a beat.

Dawnus had a successful return to the rings with our first shows for 2024. Alfie continued his winning ways picking up another frilly ribbon with a Puppy in Show at the Australia Day Show in the ACT Group Specialty. Fly also picked up a Neuter in Show at the same show and backed it up the next day in Sydney with a Neuter in Group. Looking forward to hitting the rings some more over the coming months.

In the early hours of Monday morning Cricket welcomed the Dawnus “H” litter to the world. Sadly as breeding is never easy we lost one despite over working on him for more than an hour. We are happy to have 6 healthy puppies though. 2 liver males, 1 black male and 3 black girls. Thank you to Karen for sending me Cricket and these new bloodlines to Australia, and thank you Jo for letting me use Leroy to bring a bit of Dawnus in.

Congrats to Sarah & Arlais on officially gaining their Australian Championship and Scent Work Novice titles. We are so proud to see Dawnus Fields out there doing what they love! Arlais is from our “B” litter and shows just how versatile this breed can be!
