Took a while but kept working at it finally maintaining at 169 for 2 weeks now and I never thought this was possible!!!! My initial goal weight was 168 it felt impossible but slow and steady wins the race!

New goal is get to and maintain around 160-165 and continue to lose inches in some spots like arms, and waist and gain inches in the glutes!

So proud of her for having her first class after months of subbing and building up her playlists! She’s been coming to my classes since she was 15, I knew she’d be a future instructor then for real! So proud of her as a person who works hard in all she does, has integrity, and so much strength in many many ways!

This THURADAY will be my Last time teaching the Thursday night Zumba class at 6:30p!

So…Starting NEXT WEEK 5/9 the beautiful and wonderful Amber will be taking over this class and I’m so proud of her! We will be going to dinner after her class to follow for whoever wants to come to celebrate!!!!! So plan to bring a fresh change of clothes for 5/9!

I am still teaching Monday nights 6:30pm so don’t stress! Also!!!! next week starts my new morning ZUMBA class Tuesdays @ 6:45am- 7:30am!!

Had an amazing Sunday of rest with my sweet husband. The day was Full of Church ⛪️ , time with friends and family, cruising with Bessie, good eats, napping, and true relaxation. No chores, no work, no meal prepping 🤯. We worked hard to get it all done during the week little by little. It seriously felt great to have a real day off!

God knew what he was doing saying to honor the sabbath and I will be doing this going forward. I feel sooo refreshed and ready for another week at the grind! LETS GO! WHO else works to have a restful sabbath 🙋🏻♀️?

MEAL DESCRIPTIONS:
-egg wrap, cucumber, tofu, shredded carrot, tamari sauce
- artichoke linguini, sauce, ground turkey, dark free parm, steamed Brussels and asparagus
- Buffalo tuna with side of veggies
- Chicken tacos with dairy free sour cream, peppers, pickled onion, cilantro, organic salsa
- baked chicken tenderloin, steamed rice, steamed veggies
-egg wrap with hummus, shredded carrot, cucumber, salt and side of more veggies and sauerkraut
- cucumber, beet and balsamic snack
- seared chicken tenderloin, steamed spinach, grape tomatoes, and sauteed peppers
- egg bowl with one egg, 4 TB egg whites, chicken, potatoes, onions, sweet peppers and steamed spianch
- Buffalo tuna sandwich on GF bread (ALDI) and dairy free Gouda cheese slice and a side of pickles
- for all of these meals I have pre-prepped most of the ingredients and cut up most of the veggies so when it is time to cook, all I have to do is grab my Tupperware way out how much I’m gonna put it in the one skillet and get it hot. for instance on my meal prep day, I bake the chicken, boil potatoes, steam the rice pre-cut up and or steam any veggies I’m gonna use for the week and then I put them all in separate containers in my fridge sometimes I’ll proportion them but I like to mix it up having cooked ingredients in the fridge allows me to grab what I want per meal.

So if you haven’t seen me lifting at the Forum as much lately, it’s because my good friend Jess and I decided to join CrossFit about 4 weeks ago. We’ve both been loving it, getting stronger, challenging ourselves, and meeting new friends.

Attention! Trail Zumba class for next Tuesday and if it has a good turnout it’ll be added to the schedule!

This will be a mild to moderate Zumba class since it’s so early in the morning and we need time to warm up. It will only be 45 minutes, but we will squeeze in three toning songs, one for abs, one for glutes, and one for arms, as well as the traditional warm up and cool down times .
If we have a good turn out, they will be adding it to the schedule!

Jordan’s birthday phase 2 was amazing Sunday night.
We went ALL OUT for real. From Will ordering a bunch of apps for us to share, the amazing food, wine, and Ray topping it off with ordering one of EVERY DESSERT for the table ! Thanks for coming out guys!
Ps. The biggest reservation I could get was for 12 ppl please don’t be offended if you didn’t get invited, some of y’all are from super far away and we invited who we see the most/ closest to Raleigh

I remember taking the picture on the right an not recognizing my face anymore but was still in denial. So glad I’ve taken back my health and wellness this past 9 months! Here’s to the next step in my fitness journey… mission Abs for my 37th birthday…. I’ve got 3 more months!

After months of hard work it’s easy to want to relax and pull back on intensity and duration of your efforts. Truth is, that in all things, goals just don’t get achieved without your WORK, DISCIPLINE, with CONSISTENCY!!

I’m speaking to myself too! 10 Lb to my goal 60Lbs left to go on the pull up assist before I’m doing pull-ups at zero assist! And then the goal of maintenance!
Finally warning up, goodbye Winter ❄️, hello Spring 🌸!
This Winter I had a lot of wins 🏆 personally and fitness wise. Some highlights: more personal Bests at the gym 💪🏼 🤯, fitting into my fav winter coats again🧥 again, and losing another 15lbs 😱 post my program completion with .fitness.lifestyle by continuing her steps on my own with monthly checkins with her.
Y’all this was big for me! I typical come out of the holidays 🦃🎄🥳 up 10 Lb and feeling so sluggish that I don’t get back in the swing of things till mid spring.
Some personal wins: getting more involved with my church 💒 and with the youth, reading the Bible more and being every more at peace 🕊️ during some of life’s inevitable storms, working through more stage fright fears singing 🎤 in church choir more, and working to connect more with family and friends.
Here’s to new goals this spring, hoping to get stronger 💪🏼, bolder in my faith ✝️, continue to foster good relationships 💕, making money moves💰, get back to riding my bike 🚴, get closer to my goal of having abs, and doing a pull-up, and finding more Peace and joy in the little things.

Losing 50+ lbs has given me my facial structure back and another perk is feeling more confident just wearing a middle part bun again!! 🎉

In June I got serious about taking care of my holy temple ✝️ the right way and I’m elated to see the hard work pay off. More than the weight loss, I’m lifting heavier, feeling stronger, sleeping better, feeling better, having more energy, feeling closer to God and not having any tummy troubles which were my main goals.
I did it this time without starving myself, not putting all my worth in my body, and using health as an instrument of wellness to get me through this world. Prayer 🙏🏼 has helping me through all this, learning to be more disciplined, resist temptation, and at the same time increasing my spiritual discipline which is more important than all!
Ppl who’ve struggled their whole lives with seeing results of their hard work will understand this feeling. 🥰 It’s not about my weight finally going down, it’s that the weight is the indication of the elated feeling of seeing the results of YEARS of hard work. I was lifting heavy, could run or do Zumba for hours, but my health wasn’t where I’ve wanted it to be. It got discouraging after all the years 😞.
I was able to get that spark ⚡️ back and learn from my coach .fitness.lifestyle how results come from the combo of a great meal plan, exercises, supplementation with products, cutting out processed items, cutting back on cheat days, and various other tweaks I needed to make.
I finished my 12 week program with Britt starting at 215Lb and ended at 189Lb and have continued to follow her plan since 😎 and we do a monthly accountability meeting. I can’t believe I’m down another 11Lb to be at 178 🥳!!! Whattt!!! Working with Britt and has changed my life. Hit her up if you want to see changes too! Oh and tell her I sent ya!

We are SO glad Cat is back for winter break from school! Time to kill it up through the new year and make 2024 fitness another level up!!!!
