Few results from the first round of the Bradman Cup 16s tournament which featured some of our local juniors playing for Southern Districts in the Southern pool over the weekend in Wagga the team heads to Wollongong in January

Woolworths Cricket Blast is postponed this afternoon due to the weather another session will be added to the end of the program

With Issac Roxburgh 77(57),Jay Knight 59(47) and Erik Skelly 19(19) the pick of the Whites batters.
Clem Rees 2/18(4),Joel Frazer 2/11(2.3),Morgan Rees 1/37(5) and Lucas Coppolino 1/27(5) the pick of the Blues bowlers.
Crookwell Blue reached 7/175
Jason Maloney 59(50),Lucas Coppolino 31(39),Nethal Nandasena 26(25), Kal-el Marriot 12(23) were the pick of the Blues batters with Erik Skelly 2/20(5),Issac Roxburgh 2/23(5)Saxon Greenwood 1/30(5) and Carmichael Brown 1/30(5) the wicket takers for the whites.
Crookwell Blue took the game into the last over needing 7 runs for the win with 1 wicket in hand.
A spectacular piece of fielding from Carmichael Brown at deep square leg saw him grab the ball out of the air on the first bounce and fire it in to the wicket keeper for Jay Knight to remove the bails to bring to an end a very exciting finish to a wonderful game of cricket.

Hi all

Just a quick update regarding the meeting that was held in Goulburn on Wednesday night for these age groups

The biggest change is we decided as a group and the support of Cricket NSW to open the age group up an extra year to U17's. This will allow a larger player pool similar to what was Stage 3. So the same as usual the player must turn 17 after August 31st. No dispensations will be given for this age group!! We have already given 12 months

Match Types
The competitions will be run as 28 over per innings One Day matches. This was decided to give the kids more cricket than a T20 match does and 28 overs maximises the time using the guideline of 3.6 minutes per over

Competition Dates
Starts on October 14th and run to December 9th or 16th (Depending on team numbers)
Resumes after Christmas Break on February 3rd thru to March 2nd
Semi Finals on March 9th
Grand Final on March 16th with a Backup weekend of Mar 23rd with Easter being the last weekend in March

We will be pushing heavily for the Spirit of Cricket to be followed with a reminder that the Code of Conduct also covers coaches, parents and spectators.

Given the time restraints of Saturday mornings we also will be emphasizing that the Innings start and finish times need to be adhered to. Drinks breaks need to be short. And coaches need to keep the games moving between overs.

Nominations have been accounted for with over 50 player nominations and 6 Coach/Manager Nominations.

Yass Valley Cricket Association, Crookwell Junior Cricket Association and Goulburn & Districts Junior Cricket Assiociation Delegates meet on Thursday Evening and elected the Coaches and Managers for the upcoming Intrazone Representative Cricket Competitions against the Highlands, Monaro and South East Teams.
