So I got a chicken sandwich from Chic-Fil-A on a gluten free bun. I did not realize some assembly was required!

My mom told me not to play with my food, but I cannot help it when they give you the bun and the contents of the sandwich separately.

I assembled my sandwich and then put it on a pedestal. Eventually I ate it.

What's your weird food story of the week?

When you donut know what to have for breakfast, mochi donuts are a good option!

My wife surprised me with donuts. Yum!

Thinking about the good times and summer hikes. Thankful I live close to the beach and the mountains.

How is your Thanksgiving weekend going? Anyone do any Balco Friday shopping? I avoided the stores today.

Went for a walk this weekend. It was nice to get outdoors for a bit and see some nature.

Plants always look so cool after the rain, especially now that the sun is beginning to shine.

It is nice not having to water this week because we have gotten so much rain.

What's your weather like?

Helped my wife with her potted plants today and I made a new friend. Sadly we do not have the space for a full garden. I hope my new friend will keep the pests away.

We are only at the beginning of the year and Toffee is already done.

She has been sleeping face first on the stool for the last two hours.

For the New Year Toffee has decided to become the keeper of the Amazon boxes. She shall hold them hostage until she has received food.

Only problem is, she is sitting on the latest arrival of her canned food. She has yet to see the problem with her logic.

And so my year begins with boxes and paradoxes.

Well we have gone from 80°F on Christmas day to pouring rain on New Year's Eve.

Bean has the best way to ring in the New Year, he is sleeping on his kitty couch in front of the fire! Happy Caturday!

What are your New Year's resolutions? Bean's resolution is to take more naps!

Monday vibes had me ready for bed as soon as I woke up. Took a cat nap this afternoon after seeing them.

Bean seems to approve of his new house, and we like that he likes it. Now they have their own spot near the tree they are no longer trying to sleep on our Christmas presents.

Having cats has made me a very creative problem solver.

What have you learned from your pets?

So far for Christmas my cats have gotten a new kitty couch and gingerbread chateau (literally what it said on the box), they have a new toy and some treats in their stockings, and they have their own Advent calendar.

I think my cats might be spoiled......

It is hard to sleep when your cats have the zoomies. So out come the cat toys.

After he tired of being smacked in the face with feathers, we broke out the laser pointer. Bean's main goal in life is to kill the red dot. He goes crazy for it! That and toy mice!

Does your cat have a favorite toy?

She is upset with me because I walked by and woke her up. They have at least 6 cat beds, so she sleeps on the stool we walk past constantly, and then is mad we wake her up accidentally. She is still super cute.

Can you tell she is the Princess of the house? Yet we still love her.

Does anyone else have a weird cat?

The downside of rainy days is my cats constantly think their window is under attack and they do not appreciate it.

At least they are getting along long enough to create a united front to scare off their evil attackers.

It took a few days, but our tree is complete. Although my wife might add more snowflake ornaments, she is obsessed with them. I personally like our nerdy ones. Holidays aren't complete without some nerdy cheer.

Do you have a favorite ornament decoration for Christmas?

Christmas tree decorations are expanding. Still have a ways to go before all our decorating is complete. We are doing a little a day to get into the Christmas spirit without being overwhelmed!

What is your favorite part of Christmas or the holidays?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I don't have a lot on the tree yet, but we started with some of the most important ornaments.
