Mount Torrens Bombers Tennis Club are rebuilding tennis in the Mount Torrens community with a new committee and teams for the 2019/20 season.

Rally As One was hugely successful Sunday! We would like to send out huge thank-you to everyone who came! Thank-you Tennis SA for supporting our little community it’s been a tough couple years after the bushfires and this was great to see the community having so much fun!

Saturday Evening was our Presentation night.
We got a great turnout with 5 trophy’s awarded this season.
C Grade - Captains Award - Grace May
C Grade - Most Sets won - Josh Pym
A Grade - Captains Award - Ashton Gladigou
A Grade - Most Sets Won - Cooper Gladigou
This season the club decided to award a life membership to John Pym who has been involved in Mt Torrens Tennis for the last 40 odd years!

This season BOTH our senior teams made it into the Finals!
B Grade played Springton at Springton and unfortunately lost ending their season.
C Grade played Birdwood at Birdwood and had a very narrow win by 3 games. C grade will progress into the Grand final on the 12th March.

It’s happening again this year!!!
Rally as One, a national program to support bushfire affected communities, will visit the Adelaide Hills on Sunday 6 March, supported by the Australian Open (AO) and Australian Tennis Foundation (ATF).
Rally as One was launched in November 2020 to support bushfire affected communities. It came after the global tennis community united to raise more than $6 million following the bushfires in January 2020 as part of the Australian Open’s Aces for Bushfire Relief initiative.
The Tennis SA team will join the Adelaide Hills community at the Mount Torrens Tennis Club as part of the Discover, Play, Bikeway! 2022 event for a day of Tennis Hot Shots, social tennis, fun activations, raffles and giveaways.

Each Christmas Mount Torrens Hotel organise a raffle to raise money for a local organisation. This year they have kindly chosen Mt Torrens Tennis Club! Mount Torrens hotel is a big sponsor and support of our club! Big Thank-you!!!!
Hard day at the office today!!!
A Grade lost 9 sets to 3 sets. Mount Pleasent came out firing today!!!
C grade lost 7 sets to 5 sets. Close games were had by all today. Result could of gone either way. Harrogate pipped us at the post!!!

A Grade recorded a win. Unfortunately Springton forfeited.
C grade recorded a win beating Cudlee Creek 9 sets 65 games to 3 sets 34 games. Was an awesome effort by the whole team! Thank-you Cudlee Creek for a great day!

How good is the new playground at Mt Torrens?!?! Mt Torrens Bombers Tennis club are working extremely hard to create some beautiful tennis courts to compliment this new play space! For this to happen we are looking for some Senior and Junior players for the 21/22 season! Such a family friendly environment and if you want to play yourself bring the kids along!
AGM 23rd August 7pm, Mount Torrens club rooms (located at the oval). If you can’t make it no stress just contact us if you or your children are keen to play!!!
