REFLECTION(S)

Have you ever looked in the mirror and felt like something was off? Like everything, including yourself, was falling apart? That feeling in your gut—your intuition.

That’s exactly how I felt, and it’s why I decided to embrace my name and share my story through my artistry.

When you first walked into the boutique, it wasn’t clear if “IAGU” was me or what my mission was. The confusion I felt inside showed up in my actions, running on autopilot, saying yes when I really wanted to say no, until I finally had to look deep within myself.

The creativity and spark were fading. But going through this as both an artist and a business owner taught me so much: to truly listen to what you had to say about the fashion industry and what matters most to you. So I listened, I paused, and I redirected myself to find my authentic self again.

I’ve always struggled with impostor syndrome and found it hard to speak up for what I believe in. I never realized that nurturing and loving myself deeply would be so beneficial to others, to you.

By digging deep into my personal and family history and tapping into a freer expression of my creativity, I rediscovered my life’s purpose: to create handmade garments locally, with Sandra, that speak not just to the eyes but to the soul. Whether it’s ready-to-wear pieces for both women and men or bespoke garments that we create together, I’ve found a renewed passion for connecting with you when you visit the boutique. I love explaining our sustainable practices, why they matter, and learning why you choose a specific piece.

On this new journey, we’re co-creating a new way of dressing ourselves by taking the time to do so.
One that does not harm neither people nor the planet but only enriches everyone involved.

Our two Eau de Parfum are more than just scents; they are emotional journeys that help you remember your inner strength and vulnerability, enabling you to connect with others more authentically.

“IAGU,” our signature Eau de Parfum, is both a statement and a shield you wear when needed, much like your favorite outfit or accessory that empowers you throughout the day. It symbolizes the union of East and West, celebrating our shared vulnerabilities and connections rather than our differences. It is the Yin to our second Eau de Parfum.

“POUVOIR DES FLEURS” is a tribute to the lightness of being and childhood memories, particularly the connection to family and nature. It may remind you of your grandfather introducing you to the scent of fresh flowers, walking with you through the forest to pick lilies of the valley, or your grandmother giving you a violet candy. It represents the Yang to “IAGU,” as vulnerability and lightness, sensitivity and strength, are inseparable, just like all of us.

Our Eau de Parfum are handmade in Barcelona, created in collaboration with .perfume using the finest raw materials. We bottle and label them ourselves, packaging them in pouches made from our fabric off-cuts, mirroring our philosophy in action.

This name is deeply rooted in my family’s legacy, paying tribute to my grandfather. My family hails from a humble background, where hard work, empathy, and compassion are our core values. I was born in Fourmies, where France’s textile industry began in the mid-eighteenth century with the first lace factories, where my great-grandmother worked as a child.

My childhood dream was to create clothes that help people fall in love with themselves again, free from societal constructs and norms. Today, that drive is stronger than ever, as I craft handmade garments locally with Sandra.

Through sustainable practices that focus not only on fabrics but also on the human aspect, Corentin Christian is about redefining wearable luxury. Our vision is authentic, simple yet creative, beautiful from the inside out through details, and versatile, ensuring both men and women can wear our clothes across seasons and throughout their lives.

POUVOIR DES FLEURS

The inspiration for the fragrance stems from the memory of my grandfathers love for nature and flowers: Christian and Jean-Marie had both a field. I remember so vividly picking up flowers in the garden every Wednesday for my mother. I remember trying to catch butterflies but my grand father would tell me to let them free. They taught me to dream.

Our new Eau de Parfum crafted by nose extraordinaire .perfume is a true ode to self-love and in that: loving others better. It’s a celebration of rebirth as it encapsulates nature’s most precious lesson: nothing ever stays the same.
