Monty is enjoying a lovely walk, as he does every morning across the Waveney Valley from the back of the cottage.

I've been busy felting soaps for our guests to enjoy.

So what's felted soap?
As we try to get away from single use plastics and liquid soap containers many of us are going back to using bars of soap. These can get messy and soggy around the sink (especially if little hands are using them). Hand felting the soaps not only looks pretty, but also keeps the soap contained and clean as the marino wool I use contains antibacterial properties to ensure it is always fresh and clean. I might even have some for sale if you're lucky!

Mettingham is a convenient location in the Waveney Valley with gorgeous walks and super canoeing. There is a wealth of local restaurants, micro breweries (as well as Southwold's Adnams brewery and distillery) and vineyards to explore. There is something for everyone, with the nearby Suffolk and Norfolk coasts, Earsham Wetlands centre, Flixton Aviation Museum, Africa Alive, great country pubs, the wonderful Yoga Park, local crafts, pretty artisan shops and so much more.
