Battle for Kaylynn
Kaylynn was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare type of cancer that forms in soft tissue, specifically skeletal muscle tissue.
I have created this page to keep everyone updated on her journey. Please continue to pray for her and her family.
PET scan went good praise God.
Praise God! Thank you all for your prayers!
Kaylynn had a bone marrow biopsy on Wednesday to see if the cancer was still in her bone marrow. The results came in today with good news. It was negative. The cancer is only showing in her muscle and lymphnodes now and it is responding well to treatments. Praise God.
I hope you all are having a wonderful evening. It has been a while since I have checked in and figured it was time for an update. Kaylynn is still handling Chemo, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy pretty well. She has a PET Scan and MRI scheduled for July 1st. We are praying that the cancer has shrunk some more. She will also be scheduled for a Renal Scan because she is going to need a feeding tube really soon. She is losing way too much weight and will lose even more when Radiation starts if a feeding tube isn't placed before hand. This family is overwhelmed by all of the prayers, love and support you guys have shown them. Thanking you all again for all of your help. If you would like to follow Kaylynn's story even more you can do so on TikTok. I have provided the link below. Have a wonderful evening.

Mandi was able to get a couple of Kaylynn's doctors closer to home. She will still have to travel to Ann Arbor once a week for chemo, but will now receive OT and PT in Midland starting June 8th. She was also referred to a heart doctor in Ann Arbor to find the cause of her rapid pulse. Kaylynn is still handling treatments well. She is tired a lot and having trouble eating but doing good considering all she is going through. I want to thank you again for your love and support. It means so much.
Kaylynn had chemo and occupational therapy in Ann Arbor today. She did really good. Blood test showed that her hemoglobin was low causing her heart to beat rapidly so she also underwent a blood transfusion while she was there. We did get some good news today. CT scans and ultrasound showed that the tumors have decreased in size quite a bit since treatments have started. Our little worrier is fighting this like a champ. I want to thank you all again for your prayers and support. They mean the world to us.
Words can't express how much your love and support means to this family. I can't thank you all enough for sharing Kaylynn's story and for all of the prayers and donations that have been coming through to help this baby and her family during this difficult time. I have created this page so that you can follow her journey and progress. I believe in the power of prayer so please keep praying. https://gofund.me/35895a80
