Happy Halloween!
Be sure to keep the frights to humans only! Keep your pups safe and happy by placing them in a secure room away from the door with some relaxing enrichment (a special chew, frozen treat, or boxes to shred) if you plan on joining in any festivities tonight.
And remember: pet costumes are only fun when your dog enjoys them too! Use lots of treats, and if your dog says “no thanks!”, leave them be!

Positive socialization while young is critical to ensuring your puppy grows up to feel safe and confident in the world!
Puppy class is a great, safe way to socialize your new pup! We put an emphasis on safety by using a strong cleaner that kills all major infectious diseases, and ensuring that all pups are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations through the duration of class!

Pet parents are really good about getting their puppy's vaccinations for physical diseases, but not near as good about getting the behavior problem vaccination-socialization!
Socialization needs to take place in the correct way (positive or neutral experiences) before the puppy is 14 weeks of age. Yes, we continue after that time, but the time up until 14 weeks is an essential socialization period.
