The Clara Rose Band welcomed back a very "old" but still "very young" friend this weekend with the top class Sean Beatty on guitar at our show in Sean Og's, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, Ireland at the Ballyshannon Rhythm & Blues Festival. It was a great festival, lovely buzz around the town and the crowd were up for the music and craic with us. Thank you for having us and hope to see you all in Ballyshannon in the future!

Clara Rose is a vocalist, performer and songwriter based in County Meath. Having recently independently released her third live album, 'Live, LIVE, Love' to critical acclaim, Clara has graced national and international stages with her original folk, roots and powerhouse blues music and full band. Clara was in the stage show, 'Ladies in the Blues' playing hit shows at Cork Jazz Festival and Glastonbury Festivals as well as nationwide tours. The release of her E.P 'Travelling Soul (2020) expressed the softer, folk/roots side of her creative output. Her recent artist residency in the Tyrone Guthrie Centre Annaghmakerrig saw her exploring this genre and penning songs expressing her County Monaghan roots within the folk tradition. "When it comes to female musicians, sometimes people focus on their looks and vocal prowess more than their instrumental skills, but Clara Rose delivers on all fronts... Her vibe is one part whiskey, one part roses, and one part Gaelic grit." Blues Blast Magazine .

On Friday night The Clara Rose Band were the house band for a blues dancing night in Arthur's Blues'n'Jazz Club (Dublin) hosted by the lovely people at Downtown Blues and something special happened.. it brought me back to the function of music, how it can move people, how we as a band respond and vice versa.. how the energy builds in the room, until everyone feels the release and pure joy music brings to us humans.. whether a listener or a dancer, we were all together, having a ball. I just loved it โค๏ธ
