Last week, we had the incredible honour of joining forces with at their Black-Tie Gala in celebration of Black History Month, and it was truly a night to remember! The event, expertly organised by the REAHL BHM committee — Abena Poku, Debra Morrison, Sengova Kailondo, Chloe Gulston, Deborah Wilson, SPHR, Katrina Emmanuel, and Akima Paul Lambert — was not just a celebration but a powerful testament to the impact we can achieve together.
This night was about more than glamour — it sparked meaningful conversations around inclusion, history, and empowerment. We are proud of the impact this event had, and together, we will continue to amplify the voices that matter.

Team breakfast and a moment to champion each other this morning… do you see any new faces 👀
Ahead of returning to school delivery next week, we are focusing on training, development, and collective growth over the coming days.
A big academic year for us is pending.
A massive THANK YOU to our incredible corporate partner, Avanade, for their unwavering support in providing period products for our community! Their contribution goes beyond products—it’s a commitment to dignity, equality, and empowering our community.
Period poverty is a critical issue that affects 1 in 10 girls in the UK, forcing them to miss school due to a lack of access to menstrual products (Plan International UK, 2017). This not only disrupts their education but also impacts their self-esteem and future opportunities.
With Avanade’s generous support, we’re breaking down these barriers, ensuring that no girl or woman in our community has to choose between education and managing their period. Together, we’re making strides toward ending period poverty and creating a more equitable future for all.
Let’s continue to raise awareness and work towards a world where menstrual health is prioritised and no one is left behind.
Thank you, Avanade, for standing with us on this important journey!

And just like that, our four week Croydon HAF camp is over - what a time it was 💫
But don’t worry, there is plenty more content from the camp in the archives… 👀
To everyone receiving their GCSE results today, remember that these grades do not define your worth or limit your future.
You’ve shown incredible resilience and dedication, and that alone is something to be proud of. Whether you’re celebrating or feeling a bit disappointed, know that every path forward holds opportunities for growth, learning, and success.
Your journey is just beginning, and with passion, hard work, and belief in yourself, you can achieve great things.
Keep pushing forward—your potential is limitless.
Team Mentivity…
Massive thank you to these amazing interns at Avanade for raising money for Mentivity!
Repost Last week our interns did a sponsored walk around London’s landmarks to raise money for our sponsorship partner . Part of Mentivity’s mission, to support young people to enhance social cohesion, improve educational outcomes and raise aspirations, is something that really hit home for our interns as young professionals just kick-starting their career and they were passionate about doing something to help.
At Avanade we believe in doing what matters to ensure everyone has a fair chance at a fulfilling career, and off their own initiative, we’re proud that sentiment is shared throughout our team, at all levels and career stages. If you want to learn more about the amazing work Mentivity do, and more importantly why they do it, check out their short film ‘The Centre’ on ’s YouTube channel. There’s still time to donate! Our Story
Mentivity was founded by Sayce Holmes-Lewis, Leon Wright and Tyson Holmes-Lewis who all identified the need for an inspirational and aspirational service that supports all young people through formal/informal education, positive activities, sports, the creative arts and technology.
Mentivity is deeply embedded in the communities we serve. Individually, we have all lived and worked in the same communities that our young people come from. In the process, we have gained extensive and unrivalled experiences in numerous settings. Our collective expertise in young peoples’ services exceeds over 45 years of professional experience.
These experiences have been accrued in various roles, such as: Learning Mentors, PE Teachers, Football Coaches, Youth Offending Key Workers, Keynote Speakers and Facilitators, Community Development Managers, Behaviour Consultants, Attendance Officers, Support Staff at Pupil Referral Units, as Coach Educators and now as business owners and Directors of Mentivity. This amounts to an excellent understanding of best practices in a variety of different contexts, and enables us to identify the most effective way to reach out to a diverse population of young people through our award winning work.
We all need information, help, support, advice and guidance at some point in our lives and Mentivity is here to provide this support to our local and global communities.
