To celebrate Mental Health Week, the Lorma Guidance and Counseling Office in collaboration with Lorma Psych Society prepared activities that allow Lormanians to enjoy, play and relax.

In CLI Open space, the Lorma Psych Society set up a memory lane path where students could revisit all the nostalgic past and beautiful memories of Psych Society. The five senses game is an interactive game in which Lormanians and teachers test the sharpness of their five senses. Both in CLI and CHS, the FREEDOM WALL, ALL THE FEELS and “Today I’m feeling…” are also some of the activities that most students spent their time with, because they were able to express the thoughts in their mind and be honest with their emotions.

On October 26, The Lorma Psych Society also held some of their activities during the culminating program with positive attitude and enthusiasm. We created a safe space where students can play different board games, read books, listen to a live band & podcast, and watch a movie.

Taking care of your mental health is an act of self-love." 💕🩹

In line with the Mental Health Week celebration with the theme, Into Mental Health: Inspired, Involved, Informed, we are delighted to announce that we have prepared ventures that will allow the students to express themselves freely.

The celebration kicks off on October 23 and ends on October 27, 2023. This is a joint collaboration of the Lorma Guidance and Counseling Office and the Lorma Psych Society Community with the purpose of aiding the students as well as instructors of Lorma Colleges in managing their mental well-being.

All LORMANIANS are more than welcome to join and be entertained as we all deserve this kind of multi-day program loaded with interactive, fun-filled and significant activities once in a while.

Picture yourself years from now. You are already a professional, a career-driven individual. You have a new set of goals; bigger dreams to chase and you now have a higher mountain to climb. Would you still remember some or even just a few of the educators you were blessed enough to meet and gain learning from during your academic journey? The teachers who have made lasting impressions be it a positive or a negative one? Can you still recall the lessons, the valuable pieces of wisdom they have bestowed upon you? All successfully contributing to molding a much better version of you.

This day gives us a rare opportunity to express our genuine feelings of gratitude and thanks to our second parents without any hidden agenda. Ma’am, Sir, Madame, Miss, Mister the list goes on. From the bottom of our hearts, your time and efforts will not be wasted, we appreciate you and all that you do for us. Happy World Teacher’s Day!

Su***de is a recurring problem that has plagued society for centuries now. It is a desperate attempt to rid oneself of agonizing pain. A miserable effort to possibly put an end to a person's suffering. We're here to tell you, that you are not alone and whatever you may feeling now is valid. We must look forward to the brighter days and the time things had gotten better because things will going to be better. There is always a hope for everyone.

This is but a small gesture meant to make everyone realize that regardless of the month, and although the Su***de Prevention week and day had already passed, we should make it a priority, checking up on our loved ones, that goes for our schoolmates, acquaintances, and even strangers as well. Showing acts of kindness and being present for them go a long way as the face of su***de varies for everyone. A person could be mentally and emotionally exhausted on the inside but would still find a way to make the ones around them laugh.

As the National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month comes to an end, your Lorma Psych Society family seeks to remind everyone of how we should be more compassionate and attentive when it comes to our words and actions as to not inflict pain to the people we hold dear to our hearts. We must help each other make this world a place worth living for.

Today marks the beginning of Pride Month ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Everyone should have the right to be themselves and love who they want to love. We want to tell everyone that IT IS OKAY to celebrate your uniqueness, because there is only one you and you deserve all the best things in life– not only this month but everyday.

This season is also a great opportunity to listen, learn, educate yourself, and support the LGBTQIA+ community!

We also want to remind everyone: Whether you are out or not, or still figuring it out, we want to say that you are VALID and you are LOVED.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

To celebrate International Women's Day, we bring you a list of incredible women psychologists, therapists, and researchers, and through their hard work and dedication they made changes, boosted the public perception of psychology and bettered the lives of many.

While historically, we think of Psychology as a male-dominated filed, women have been there all along with equally good ideas, skills, research and advocacy.
