More upward price trends continue with another record high for the month of February. Prices increased an average 8% with less than 8 days average on the market. What is causing this? A large move of buyers heading to Durham mainly Oshawa, very low inventory, and record low interest rates are making higher priced homes more affordable on a monthly basis. Real Estate in Durham had quite the end to the year! It was definitely amazing to see prices recover from the pandemic and finish off almost 22% higher. We continued to see an increasing number of buyers in the market but also had a steady decline in inventory. Sellers are still receiving multiple offers and homes are only lasting an average of 10 days on the market. All of these changes could affect home values (yes, even yours). I thought I had seen it all for Christmas lights this year until I was almost blinded by what I saw driving down Baldwin st last night. The Business Leadership class of Brooklin High School kicked off their Festival Of Lights Celebration. It was phenomenal. The covid safe drive through light display definitely tops the list.

I was greeted by who explained that the display was planned only 4 weeks ago and represented all groups and ethnic backgrounds that celebrate in around the December months including Diwali and others.The event is open to the public tonight and runs till December 17 see more info for tickets and times.
