MONDAY, JUNE 1
TABLE BEFORE YOUR ENEMIES
Genesis 26:12-14
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. 13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; 14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.
Very often God displays His good sense of humor. He does it in ways that surprise the believer. One of the ways He does it is that you may be living surrounded by people who do not want you to progress; but God will not take you out that location. Instead He blesses you in the midst of your enemies. That is what Isaac experienced in a strange land. Later, his grandson Joseph experienced that in Egypt but in a slightly different and a more magnified context.
Your enemies always pray for something terrible to happen to you so you will be silent and have no song to sing about your Creator and the God who holds your life. Thank God their desires do not have power over you. What has power over you is the word of God and His Spirit because you chose to yield to Him. As you follow God and His word your experiences in life will confound your enemies.
Isaac’s experience is typical of God setting a table before His children in the presence of their enemies. God does those things in style to send the message loud and clear that He loves His children. All the Philistines could do was to envy him. You know the end of the story – the people asked him to leave their country because he was becoming too powerful. They feared he would become more powerful than them. That was the same scenario in Egypt that initiated making the Hebrews slaves. God always wins in such cases.
Prayer
1. Thank God who gives you the power to get wealth beyond what anyone can think of or imagine.
2. Pray for continued gratitude and trust in God and obedience to His word.
3. Father, please keep me trusting in You for the rest of my life, that through me Your enemies will see Your power.
Declarations
I declare that the power God gives to get wealth will always be activated in me. Elohim will always prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; therefore, I shall not be afraid. I prevail over my enemies in the name of Jesus. I declare that despite the plots by my enemies to put me down, I shall never be confounded. I shall always prevail in the name of Jesus.
