We posted earlier on the Kansas Freemasonry page, but here is your reminder to grab mom, send mom, or just leave her at home to relax, all for a good cause of course.
After over 100 years of seemingly being intentionally ignored and avoided, for our Masonic education, we delve into a real-life cold case in our jurisdiction’s history. There are many unexpected twists and turns and what we may (or may not) learn is surprising.
We invite all Masons to our May 18 meeting, buffet luncheon at Cinzetti's, and, at 1:30, the evidence (and potential solving) of a case that has remained unsolved for over 100 years.
Some people just look like they belong at Justice Lodge.
We are proud to have Brian McCracken not only as an honorary member, but as our District Deputy Grand Master this year. He will be kicking our door open for his official spring visit May 18. Join us in the Kansas City area for our meeting, his visit, a great meal, and special masonic education after lunch.
Charges Pending!

Kansas Chapter, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) purpose is to provide peer support to the surviving family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty by offering emotional support, aiding survivors in understanding the judicial process and providing information about available services within the local community, the state, and the nation. Their aim is to offer longer-term support and friendship after the initial wave of community and department support, media attention, and public sympathy has diminished for the survivor. As survivors themselves, they recognize the needs and traumas each new survivor will face as the years pass. Training of state law enforcement agencies in the appropriate handling of line-of-duty death procedures is also a priority for their organization.
This past Tuesday, 2/28/2023, the Master and Sr. Warden of Justice Lodge traveled to Iola to meet with all five law enforcement agency heads in Allen County and announce that a $3000 donation had been made to the Kansas Chapter, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) to support sending the widow and two affected co-workers of a fallen Iola Police Department Officer to National Police Week in May where he will be honored. This donation will keep locally allocated funds where they belong and shows the community continued support for a local hero. With this donation, Justice Lodge has donated over $5000 to KS C.O.P.S. in the past year.

This past week, I attend a Kansas Sheriffs Association training conference and a great opportunity presented itself which you will hear more about soon. All Allen County law enforcement entities are now involved in this endeavour and I am honored and proud to be asked to participate.
Pictured with me are representatives of Kansas Chapter, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) and Graham County Sheriff Cole Presley who is a member of Justice Lodge No. 457, Kansas, a Freemason's affinity lodge. Together we are working with Iola Police, Humboldt, Kansas Police Department, La Harpe Police Department, and the Moran Police Department. More to come.

Don't waste your holiday money. Buy some Justice Lodge raffle tickets and possibly win an awesome "Rowdy" little gun. What's better is that we will match your ticket purchase amount (up to a cumulative $2500) and give it to a law enforcement-related charity - you know who we work with.
We accept cash, checks, Venmo, and PayPal. Only 300 tickets will be sold. At $10 each, they will sell out. Why spend on something you don't really need when you can know your money is helping others in need. If you don't want a raffle ticket, we accept donations and double them too.
There is no limit on how many tickets you can purchase, but you must be legally able, under Federal guidelines, to own a handgun and pay any applicable FFL transfer fees. If the drawn winner doesn't meet the requirements/qualifications, a new winner will be drawn.
At our Annual Communication, we received a donation of a new "Rowdy" with custom Masonic grips only to be used for fundraising for our charities. While we didn't plan to start selling tickets until 2023, our Secretary got after it, made a flyer, printed tickets, and thinks he has us ready to go on Venmo (we still use our regular PayPal account and accept checks & cash too).
Limited to only 300 tickets, it seems we have started selling them now at $10 each. There is no limit on how many tickets you can purchase, but you must be legally able, under Federal guidelines, to own a handgun and pay any applicable FFL transfer fees. If the drawn winner doesn't meet the requirements/qualifications, a new winner will be drawn.
