Trudy for Treasurer

Trudy for Treasurer

I recently retired after teaching at Oakridge for 34 years. I have decided to run for Egelston Towns

My great niece said if I am elected she will
take me to dinner and she would drive.
(She is a 5th grader!)
I need a good meal and I promise I will drive.
Vote tomorrow.
Trudy for Treasurer!

I decided to run for Treasurer because I care about our community. My campaign has been Focused on the Future--the future of a great Egelston Township! Please remind family and friends to Vote Aug 4.

Tuesday August 4th is just around the corner. Remember that you have to vote straight ticket in the primary. If you vote for more than one party your ballot will be disqualified.

I worked today until 5 p.m. When I saw what was going on, I was just sick about. I can only imagine how Kelly feels. I have nothing to do with that awful sign or anything that happens on that corner. Anyone that knows me knows that I would never harm anyone like that.

Here is what an absentee ballot application looks like. There is even a page of directions. Fill this out, mail or email to our Clerk, and she will mail you the absentee ballot. (Updated Renae Thanks for your question.)

I asked our clerk, Joan Raap, about absentee ballots. Here is her response.

For those who don't know me, let me introduce myself. I am a lifelong resident. My husband, Greg, and I have 2 adult sons--Evan And Tyler. We have owned and operated a small business, Shoreline Rental, for 26 years where I have been responsible for all of the bookkeeping and accounting. My desire to help people led me to become a teacher. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and went on to earn my Continuing Certification through Michigan State University. With my math major, I taught high school Algebra. I have also taught Phys Ed, Driver Ed, and Third Grade. I spent many years coaching--Basketball, Volleyball, and Club Soccer. I retired last June after 34 years of teaching at Oakridge. In my current position as an Executive Assistant I am responsible for the accounting activities of the business. If given the opportunity, I hope to use my passion and my past experiences to serve the people of our township.

As my friends know, I am a people person. I planned to canvass in our community but with this Covid-19 mess, I don't think that is a good idea at the moment. I am using Facebook to reach out to voters. If you would like to support my campaign, please invite family and friends to like and follow my page. Also, feel free to write a comment or create a post.
