The most efficient way to reduce the operational emissions of buildings is to offer high-performance products to optimise energy consumption once the building enters the use phase. Produced using at least 75% recycled and 95% recyclable content, our high-performance products are easily , and .

By using responsibly sourced and recycled material, such as our low-carbon aluminium Hydro CIRCAL and our recycled polyamide, we aim to reduce the carbon footprint of our aluminium by 50% and that of our accessories by 35% by 2025.

Park Kneževa, or translated Princes' Park, rightly bears its name as an exceptional project of the highest quality and architectural value. On a space neglected and devastated for years, an oasis of living has been created in the centre of Zagreb, Croatia, in cooperation with the renowned architectural company Studio 3LHD.

This project follows the highest standards of green construction and cares for the environment, from collecting rainwater used for irrigation and waste disposal systems to installing the highest quality materials, equipment, and technical solutions that ensure low energy consumption.

Therefore, we have provided our high-performance WICSLIDE sliding systems and WICTEC façade systems made of low-carbon aluminium Hydro CIRCAL 75R, which contains a minimum of 75% recycled, post-consumer scrap.

The new "iCampus Rhenania" is being built very close to Munich's Ostbahnhof station. Seven buildings will be arranged around the listed former administrative building of the Rhenania company, which was located on the site in the 20th century, forming an ensemble of old and new buildings with a strong contrast: the mineral, light-coloured, neoclassical existing building on the one hand and the black, metallic and minimalist new building on the other.

A customised construction based on the WICLINE 75 evo window series and the WICLINE 75 MAX window was used here.

Together, we drive decarbonisation forward by using our recycled, end-of-life aluminium Hydro CIRCAL solutions for the ORF Mediencampus!

The new building complex on the ORF Mediencampus is a key component of the journalistic infrastructure, bringing together media production and the offices in one place. The three-part complex echoes the horizontal lines of the surrounding buildings and is thus harmoniously integrated into the existing urban structure.

The chosen façade solution from WICONA is also outstanding because all elements are made from our recycled, end-of-life aluminium Hydro CIRCAL. Thanks to its low carbon footprint of 2.3 kg of CO2e/kg of aluminium, we reduced the CO2 emissions by 180 tons which represents around 20 flights around the world.

Since 2019, we are using our end-of-life aluminium Hydro CIRCAL 75R, made of at least 75% post-consumer scrap, to build cities beyond tomorrow. This was an important step to actively participate in the decarbonisation of tomorrow‘s buildings.

With our near-zero carbon aluminium Hydro CIRCAL 100R, made of 100% post-consumer scrap, we are going one step beyond.
With this innovation, we will be able to build buildings that leave almost no carbon footprint and the first one is already underway.
