We are so proud of our driver. He was nominated for the Ken Rice Award. This is our 3rd year coming to nationals and his 3rd nomination. Johnny races his heart out, but the track has also taught him so many more things. Perseverance, sportsmanship, gratitude, helping others and leadership. We are humbled and honored. Thank you for the nomination.

11/23/23 Las Vegas Winter Nationals Heavy World Formula b Main. His car had the speed, the set up and the driver today. Started dead last and made his way to mid pack. Looking great out there and was looking good for a transfer spot when another kid flagrantly took him out and put him into a wall. Bent axel and bent radius rods with no time to fix. Johnny was a DNF but through no fault of his or the crew. The disappointment was great, but the kid never fails to surprise us with his amazing spirit.

Las Vegas Winter Nationals Heat race day. Heavy World. Not the day we were hoping for. Johnny had a flip but was a-ok and went right back out right after. Unfortunately we didn’t have the finish we were hoping for. Tomorrow we will be car 10 in the b main and need to be top 4 to transfer.

We travel to Las Vegas next week for the Silver State Winter Nationals. We are so excited, we had to make shirts for the event!

Shoutout to The Rockstar Music Academy for providing speakers and sound equipment for our big national race at American Quarter Midget Association. We had a professional announcer for all the races and it really elevated the experience. Many thanks 🙏 to a music studio that does so much for youngsters.

Johnny Cash Classic - 10/20/23-10/21/23

Fun to have all the out of town heavy’s at the track and also our old buddy Macfarland to race the world with. We had a nice full class of 10 cars. Not the finish we were hoping for, but he was competitive and held his own with these big aggressive kids. Nice run in the main coming from a p7 start to 4th missing the podium by one position.

Johnny worked hard all weekend on his and his sister’s car. Both cars looked great and we sure do love our Bullrider Racecars

Summary:

A-main: started p7 finished 4th

We were at the ballpark again this past weekend. 5 up-at-bats and 5 hits! He also pitched 2 innings with 4 Ks! Johnny will be back racing this weekend in the Johnny Cash Classic at American Quarter Midget Association in Rancho Cordova.

10/01/23 Some great shots from Sunday’s double header against a team in Woodland. Took the mound, a little first base and some outfield. Hitting: 1 strike out, 2 walks and 2 hits

Here's your 2023 QMA Western Grands Heavy World Formula A Main Event drivers! Good luck drivers!

A Main Event results:
Heavy Honda - 6th
Heavy World Formula - 5th

We couldn’t be prouder of our driver this week at the Western Grands. It was a fantastic event at an awesome track in Canada. The track was beautiful with an amazing scoreboard, plenty of nice seating for spectators, a great snack shack, power outlets for trailers and even showers.

217 cars showed up and there was a huge heavy class of drivers for Johnny to race against. These kids are fast, passionate and aggressive. Johnny B matched their racing and never backed down.

The kid worked hard all week on his and his sister’s car with crew chief and assistance from our other California crew Tristan Garcia Racing and the cars looked great out there! Both his cars were fast and handled well.

Both cars made it to the A mains!

We had some strange luck in the A mains.

Heavy Honda
Started in P7. Car again looked great. Johnny was making passes and running in 4th when another car spilled oil all over the track. Johnny spun to a stop but luckily he got his spot back. Race was paused for about 20-30 min to clean up the spill. When the cars went back out it was evident the track was still slick. Wrecks and spin outs. Johnny got tangled up with a 3 car tangle and was put to the back. Johnny did what he could with the situation and ended with 6th.

HeavyWorld
The heavy world never looked so good in the lower mains so we were excited to see it in the A main. Unfortunately the bead came out in his left rear tire when he was hit from the side and caused the air pressure to release, which slowed him down. Despite this and starting in P9, he finished up 5th in this very fast and aggressive class.

The kid drove his heart out and enjoyed the challenge of this track. Thanks to LQMA - Langley Quarter Midget Association for your hospitality and for putting on a great event with so many fun things for the kids.

It was a great lower main day for Johnny B! We are thrilled to put both the cars in the A mains tomorrow. These racers out here are super competitive and aggressive. We had a flip and a spin out. Johnny was ok. Johnny was happy to race against soooo many heavy kids.

C Main - started 3rd finished 5th for the transfer!
B Main - started 10th finished 4th for the transfer!

Tomorrow is A mains and are super excited for the challenge!

Such an exciting Heavy Honda Heat battle today with the fastest kids in the north west! - Second place finish! So proud of our driver on a track he’s never raced.
A little less luck with our Heavy World Formula Heat but the crew is making some changes for the mains tomorrow.

QMA 2023 Western Grands Heats

Finished up qualifying today. We are so excited to be in some huge heavy classes and even more thrilled that our cars were performing competitively with some of the home town kids. Tomorrow will be heats and this kid is ready!

Practice Day. Prepping for the start of heats tomorrow. Fun with friends and a whole lot of work. Johnny B is ready to roll in his class with a field of 20 drivers! This is the biggest race we’ve ever been to and it has been so fun. there are 300+ cars all together!
