πββοΈ We are delighted and humbled by the endorsement of one of UK's most Prominent Voices against anti-Semitism, David Collier . He is one of the leading UK researchers against anti-Semitism and inspiration for activists fighting anti-Semitism, both home and abroad. It was his extensive research which played a large role in exposing the anti-Semitism of the corbynists.
β‘οΈ We continue to call for eradication of anti-Semitism and racism from all political parties and we are disgusted to see how anti-Semites in Bury Conservatives continue to be rewarded.
π³ We urge all residents of Bury to give a clear message to anti-Semites on 4th May. Please make it clear to them that anti-Semites will never prosper. On 4th May, Please vote for:

Totally agree with Shadman. Shame on Tories!
π‘ I am so so disgusted of Tory sleaze and it gets worse by the day it seems.
π€¦π»ββοΈ A few days ago, at a podcast with Ivan Lewis(Former Bury South MP), I gave credit to Sunak and Tories for considering the issue of tackling the demographic crisis in the budget by making more allowances for childcare. It turns out I was wrong. All Sunak and Tories did was giving themselves more money as most of the agencies they have given these allowances to are somehow allegedly linked to their families or friends or relatives.
π We are all aware in Bury of the "donation" received by James Daly MP from IX Wireless and both Me and Raymond Solomon For Elton continue to call associated agencies to look into possible connection between that "donation" and the free reign that IX Wireless has received to build "6G" masts all over Bury . Let's not forget how so many of the Bury Tory Councillors work for Mr Daly(namely Cllr Bernstein and Cllr Jo Lancaster).
π We(Me and Raymond) also continue to call for a Local Referendum on "Building 6G Masts," "Places for Everyone" and "Clean Air Zone(CAZ) Tax." While WE vehemently OPPOSE all 3, we want all details to come out and Bury Residents to have a vote and we have no doubt that the residents will oppose all 3.
π³ Only Independent Candidates and Local Parties, like Radcliffe First - Public Group (Non party members) , will speak for your interests in the Council. If you are fed up of the sleazy behaviour of Tories(both locally and nationally) or can't identify with Labour's lack of ideas(both locally and nationally), then Vote for your Independent Candidates and Local Parties on 4th May.

Completely agree with Dr Shadman Zaman ! Better roads and better quality of potholes repair.
π£ We need to repair potholes better. The potholes repaired by the council don't last even 6 months. We need better outcomes for our money. If the walls built by the Romans can last 2000 years, why can't potholes repaired by us last 2 years?
π³ Please Vote for your 2 proud Independent Council Candidates on 4th May if you want better roads in Bury.

π Well done Sandra and Ann!
Our amazing volunteers Sandra Morris and Ann Cole from Brandlesholme Support Group are holding a tombola today at Tesco in Woodfields Retail Park to help raise vital funds for Bury Hospice.
If you are shopping at Tesco this afternoon, have a go on the tombola, there are some fantastic prizes to be won.

πββοΈ Extremely delighted to confirm that we have submitted our nomination papers today and it has been accepted and we are officially candidates. Our campaign is based on fresh ideas and integrity and we only care about the local residents, unlike the national parties. We have already announced all the ideas that we have in order to make Bury a better place.
π³ While the big parties are shackled by their national policies, our ideas are catered for the local residents of Bury. On 4th May, please vote for your Proud Independents and it will be a vote for a better Bury.

π I support Dr Shadman Zaman 's call for better quality repair of potholes.
π Really overwhelmed by the positive responses at the doorsteps today. Great to speak to residents of Pilkington Park about my goals for the area. Thank you for giving me your time and sharing your ideas and opinions as well. If elected, I will listen to you, I will work for you and I will let my actions do the talking.
π£ I urge the council to launch an audit into the way potholes are repaired. The roads at Standmoor Road, Rochford Avenue and Rochford Close are full of potholes and while incumbent councillors try to show off, no meaningful action is being taken. If potholes are repaired, those repairs only last 6 months. We are haemorrhaging money and residents are not receiving any concrete benefits. Dear Council, please find out the reasons behind the inadequate quality of repair of potholes before actually commissioning further repairs.

πββοΈ We are extremely proud of the campaign we have run till now and we are delighted to see the response to our vision and policies for Bury that we have announced. We have met almost every 2 days to go through the data so that we can be thorough and transparent in our announcements. We believe in transparency and we believe that our politics should be catered to policies that benefit the ordinary people.
π We entered politics for the Sole Purpose of Serving the People. Our politics is reflected by our morals and red lines. Thus, if we are elected, we will donate the entirety of the Annual Councillors Wages to charities in Bury(one of them will definitely be Bury Hospice because of the role they have played in the care of our loved ones). Also, we will provide an annual breakdown of which charities we have donated to along with the amounts.

βοΈ It's Time For Transparency in Bury.
π³ I will continue to support all efforts to protect our greenfields.
π Absolutely delighted to meet a friend at Peppe's today, Pilkington Park's own legendary pizza place. It was also wonderful to speak to the owner Mike(in the picture with me) and listen to his opinion on how to improve the situation locally for small businesses.
π While we all know how good the pizza is at Peppe's, I must admit, their garlic mushroom is the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this place! Great food, amazing environment and wonderful staff.
π³ Please join my campaign and support local businesses in your area and vote for fresh voices and ideas in the upcoming council elections in Bury. Change happens only when we desire it.

π We want to offer a practical solution to the housing crisis on a local level and we want to take inspiration from other areas of the country like Bristol Council, who are offering innovative solutions. If elected, we will be pushing the Bury Council to change planning law to allow 3rd stories and more generous extensions.
π¨βπ©βπ¦βπ¦ We also would like to improve school security and urge the council to tackle Anti-social behaviour by investing in community event centres with multi-purpose usage. Moreover, we would urge the council to implement a Bury version of Project Vita, an award winning successful program launched by North Tyneside Labour run council that has reduced anti-social behaviour by 40% in North Tyneside.
π³ Only Independents and local political parties, who care about the community, can have a vision for the community. We need local solutions brought about by innovative ideas, not politicains answering to national agendas. On 4th May, please vote for:

π An absolute pleasure to join the amazing residents of Bury tonight, like Amanda Law, who posed questions to the council about the masts being erected by IX Wireless, allegedly without permits in a lot of instances. Both Me and Raymond Solomon For Elton have opposed it from the beginning and call for consultation with residents before any building of such masts.
π We also urge the Council and necessary authorities to launch an investigation into any possible connection between IX Wireless' free reign into building these masts in Bury and the Β£8500 it has "donated" to James Daly MP, who happens to employ so many of the Bury Tory Councillors(namely Cllr Bernstein and Cllr Jo Lancaster).
π³ We believe that local Councillors should stand up for the interests of local residents like Radcliffe First does. It is a shame that the local Tories have sold themselves to vested interests. On 4th May, Please Vote for:

I also want to personally thank Cllr Yvonne Wright for being vocal and critical of the questionable actions of IX Wireless.
(P.S: Please bring a photo ID to the polling station on 4th May)
π It is great to see the incredible efforts of community activists in Elton like Kylie Hodges and Cllr Yvonne Wright. Please support their endeavour and join their event for Incredible Edible Tottington at Elton Liberal Club on 14th April at 12pm.
π Many Many congratulations to the Farmer Citizen Movement(BBB) in Netherlands on winning the regional elections. A party of ordinary people, Independent citizens fed up of failed policies of the big parties.
π The time for Independent thinking and movements are now. We all saw last year how the leader of Bury Tories insulted Independent Councillor Yvonne Wright and spoke about Radcliffe First in derisory terms.
π³ Bury will be most benefitted by people who will stand up for the residents unlike the main parties who answer to vested interests. Please vote for Radcliffe First if you are in Radcliffe and Independent Candidates in your respective wards.

π We are aware of the reports of installation of masts in different locations in Bury and we have continued to voice our displeasure against such installations.
β οΈ We are extremely concerned about the reports that the contractors did not have appropriate permits in some instances.
πββοΈ We have escalated with the council authorities to look into the situation urgently and take all necessary steps to halt these installations till a proper consultation with locals can be undertaken.
β οΈWe also ask for a review of the tendering process considering allegations of Foul Play surrounding the provision of contract to the IX Wireless company and its donation to the Conservative Party and the Bury North MP for whom a large number of Bury Tory Councillors work. We hope appropriate authorities will look into possibility of conflict of interest here as the people of Bury deserve to know all the facts.
π³ Sadly, Bury Conservatives and the National Parties only care about vested interests. Please vote for Independent Candidates to be your voice in the council.

Peel gets ball rolling on Β£500m Bury masterplan - Place North West A consultation has been launched concerning land west of Elton reservoir, a site that could accommodate 3,500 homes and local centre amenities.
Joint Statement by Dr Shadman Zaman and Raymond Solomon. π
π‘ We are disgusted by the reports of plans by IX Wireless Ltd to build Masts in Bury without holding any consultations with local residents.
π€¦π»ββοΈ We are also dismayed by the lack of transparency in the whole process. The owner of the company is a Tory Peer who has donated to the MP of Bury North, Mr Daly. Considering how a large of number of Bury Tory Councillors ( including their Council leader Cllr Bernstein and Deputy Leader Cllr Lancaster) work for Mr Daly, we are not surprised at all by the lack of reaction from the Bury Conservatives. Let's call it as it is, Bury Conservatives are being Duplicitious in their claims when it comes to most issues but on this topic, their silence only speaks volumes about their Collusion with the company.
π We demand a Review of the tendering process and a transparent Consultation with the Local Residents before any Mast in Bury is built by IX Wireless Ltd. We will continue to Oppose all plans of building such structures in Pilkington Park and Elton and all of Bury.
π³ The local Tories only care about vested interests. Only Independent Voices will speak for your interests in the council. Please vote for your Independent Candidates on 4th May:

π During our canvassing sessions, two things that the residents have expressed concerns about are the "Places for Everyone"(PfE) plan and the "Clean Air Zone"(CAZ) tax.
π€¦π»ββοΈThe PfE plan, if implemented, will build on our greenfields while the CAZ tax will impose unnecessary burden on residents and small business owners. Both of us are Deeply
Opposed to both the plans but as we did some reading on both the issues, the details were as vague as it could be with misinformation from both the main parties and a case of shifting goalposts. It is our opinion that both the Tories and Labour are responsible for this mess.
πββοΈ Thus, we are proposing an opt in/opt out local referendum on both PfE and CAZ for the residents of Bury,A Democratic Vote, which will allow all details to come to light and allow the residents to make a learned decision on both the plans. It is our sincere belief that both the plans will be opposed by the residents of Bury after all the details have been sifted through.

πWe have been overwhelmed by the response of the residents of Pilkington Park, Elton and the rest of Bury and are truly thankful for supporting our Independent Candidacies. A lot has been speculated about us in the last few days. It is no secret that we previously were members of the Conservative party but we are disgusted by their anti-democratic nature and the racism and anti-Semitism perpetuated by them locally. Moreover, we are distraught at the economic policies and the mismanagement of our economy by the Tories and their betrayal of Brexit.
π Both of us are united in Our Vision for Bury which includes a Council Budget that focuses on people. We want to influence a budget that prioritises people's health, education, greenfields and basic infrastructure. We visualise a budget which allows residents to have more say on everything, from repairing of potholes and streetlamps to building on greenfields to erecting 5G masts. We want to create a budget which allows avenues for residents to access GPs and tackle anti-social behaviour by having increased access to extracurricular activities for their children.
