So this week has been a little slow with trunk or treats and Halloween, I haven’t been able to work on my book. It would also help if the two main characters would start talking again right now their silent like Charlie Chaplin. So tonight I plan on isolating myself and getting a chapter or two.

Came back from Memphis where my wife Kelly Seibold - Author had a book signing along with many other great authors. I have a surge to continue writing my book and got some encouragement from others not to give up when a book might have taken three to five years to write but then they follow it up with a book that took three days. Welp it’s time to get the rust out and see where my characters take me.

While researching for my book I came a cross the seven stages of grief. Maybe you or someone you know is growing through of these stages

Happy Fourth of July to all my friends. I know it has been a while since I posted on here but I also wanted to give an update on my book.

I was two chapters away from finishing the book and had already begun rereading the book to do self edits. Along the way I discovered that the flow and even the story just did not seem to fit well so I have began rewriting the book. It has taken a different direction than I had initially planned.

Instead of being in third person format it will now be in first person with the view points from the two main characters Thomas and Sofia.

The book will be more in-depth and more developed with the overall journey to healing and redemption.

I’ll try to do a better job of updates as I go, but I ask that you pray for this story and me as the story has mirror images of my own story and journey.

As of today we are only three chapters away from completion. Journey to king mountain will soon be at an end. I look forward to doing the first round of edits and then sending it off to

At times or need to take a break and on life in general. So today I want to say that I am for my sister Gretchen Spunky Bicknell we may not see eye to eye on some things but she’s always been someone that I trust and would always protect even when she’s the one who is usually protective.

Hope everyone had a safe and fun Holiday season. We started a new year, and with that comes new . This year I have a book that is close to completion and a second in the preliminary stage. For today we are going to start the year with a . "We are ALL a little broken, but the last time I checked, broken still color."

If last year proved anything, It was that even the ones who say that they're fine are, in fact, hurting inside. As , we are called to those who are hurting instead of tearing them down.

Good morning! It is 7º here in Dayton, Tennessee. Some places received some snow while others did not. It is extremely cold, but we are warm, and Cassidy is looking forward to spending Christmas with her family. Some family members cannot be with us because of the miles that separate us, and some have been called home by the Creator.

Christmas has always been for me a time that has been attributed to death, as many family members have passed away. As I sit here and enjoy a cup of coffee and write this, I have been reflecting on past memories that I cherish.

What are some of your favorite Christmas/Holiday memories?

As of today we are sitting at 36k word count and in the middle of chapter fifteen. Our main character a few more hurdles to jump but the end will be worth it.

We live in a world where it is so easy to hate our fellow man, but it is so much stronger to love. Think about what love did. Love came to the world as a baby and died and rose on the third day so that you and i could live for all eternity.

There is always that one package that never has enough wrapping paper. What are your Christmas wrapping stories?

It's been a while since I've posted anything here, so I apologize. Yesterday we had our annual Evening In December at our home. It was a time of fellowship and great food. The kids played and giggled, which always brings joy to my heart. After everyone had departed, leaving my daughter's Godmother and her husband stayed and talked with my wife and me til midnight. I have to say that it gave me the opportunity to say what I have wanted to say about the events of the year, but I also was given the prime opportunity to have some much-needed foot to rear-end to help snap me out of my own misery and realize that the only one holding back from moving forward was myself. As of today, I woke with a renewal of spirit and a goal to achieve. This year has been a roller-coaster year; next year brings some excitement as my book Journey to King Mountain will be shooting for a late April release; then, in time for Christmas of next year will be a small Christmas book that is a Special from my first book. So be on the lookout for Journey to King Mountain in April and Happy Holly Days on Black Friday.
