Outreach to a nursery school in Siyanqoba

The Interact group from St Thomas Aquinas School were on the move when they went on an outreach to a nursery school in Siyanqoba.
Siyanqoba is an extension from Klarinet, the homes there were built over two years ago. Many of the homes still don’t have running water or electricity.
The Grade 11 Mathematical Literacy learners made desks for the nursery school.
Various teachers from St Thomas Aquinas School also donated books, toys and various other items that the nursery school would use.
On June 23 the Interact group and a few teachers headed out to Siyanqoba.
The nursery school is situated in a garage, before Covid-19 pandemic 40 little ones would attend school there.
When they got there the heavens opened and it started to pour with rain.
That did not stop everyone from unpacking the vehicles and started sorting out the nursery school.
It was a busy day and a day where everyone walked away knowing that they did a good deed.

It was a blessing to be able to visit Phakama primary school as we were able to donate some well needed stationary. The way their hearts and faces warmed up for the things we gave them, heart warming!!

Our 2021 finalists are all busy preparing for this busy upcoming weekend as we will be going into the final judging and our ladies will be put through their paces during the prelim judging.

This year the judging has been changed and we will welcome 15 independent judges to assist with the following:
- Ramp Judging - "Confidence" (set of 5 Judges)
- Interviews - "Personality & "Self Knowledge" (set of 5 Judges)
- Eveningwear - "Beaty, Style , Posture and most important Presence" (set of 5 Judges)

- The Pageant Program, activities, all will be added to final score to determine our newly crowned Ambassadors.

Our Selection Panel to be revealed on Saturday, 9 Oct 2021.
