Handmade with love & swearing
Everything you see is handmade with love and swearing by me. I love bright colours, fandom and not acting my age.
If you buy any of the random things I make then you’ll be getting a true one of a kind as I never make exactly the same thing twice.
Travel bag number 3 for child number 2. Managed to assemble the shoe pocket at the first attempt with minimal unpicking - result!! My favourite bit is the buzz lightyear zips.
Travel bag number 2 for child number 3. Glitter vinyl and Haunted Mansion wallpaper. The lining is a Disney tablecloth.
The binding is utter garbage but no one’s going to see it.
3 more to go.
WIP. Travel bag number 2 for child number 3 who is going through an emo phase.
I have booked holiday of a lifetime to Disney World for Christmas so I am sewing ALL the clothes and accessories.
This is what happens when you make one travel bag and the rest of the family now wants one
I finished it! It’s a beast. Look at the last pic of the size of the bag compared to the size of the tiny little vintage machine that made it.
Pics are rubbish and it’s still all lumpy after I’d had the fight turning it through, but you get the idea.
The pocket on the end is a shoe pocket that goes into the lining. Hell to sew but genius.
This is for Mr F and I must love him very much because it took ages and is the most complicated thing I’ve ever attempted.
I want one now.
WIP
Started making a travel bag for Mr F. Possibly the most complicated thing I’ve ever made. The cut list has 70 pieces. So far I’ve cut, interfaced and made a strap and strap-cushion. Can you guess the theme?
Whipped up a little bag to match my jumpsuit to go out tonight.
I made a dice pouch for the girls who now play D&D with their friends.
Canvas from that I’ve had for ages after my SIL brought it over from the US for me.
Working at home all week because my stupid car has got a fault and I can’t get it in for diagnostics until Monday.
Threw on a loungewear cardi because it was cold. Realised what the print was in a rather senior level meeting and panicked and moved my laptop so that I was only on screen from the neck up as I tried to wriggle out of it, whilst still attempting to hold a professional conversation.
It’s cruel that I am forced to masquerade as a grown up in order to earn a living.

I was aiming for a nod to camo but extra. Amazing day and we are all stupidly proud of him
Outfit completed for the Boy’s passing out parade on Thursday. Even managed a matching watch strap
I odicoated the fabric on the bag and it’s gone a bit creased when I turned it out but I can live with it.

Look at my zipper gusset 🥰
Prepping to make a bag to match my dress for the boy’s passing out parade next week.
Not the best pic but you get the idea. Dress finished for the boy’s passing out parade in a week and a half. I couldn’t resist a little camo theming.
Started this beast today that Mr F gave me for Christmas
I’ve got 3 teenagers and one has even left home to join the army. So yes, of course I still make matching family outfits and take them to Santa’s grotto for a picture!
Head elf was particularly impressed and gathered all the other elves for a photo opportunity with us.
Had a fantastic 2 days staying at West Midlands Safari park.

Made this flat cap for my sister’s bf for Christmas. He’s Irish but I think I may have overdone the racial stereotyping in the lining 😬
It is impossible not to read it in Gonzo’s voice
This beauty went off to its new home in the week. I hope the recipient likes it as much as I do. Particularly proud of the interior pocket 🥰
Friday finish
Me made outfit for the boy’s passing-in parade. Extremely proud parents. I was banned from wearing camo so I decided to theme with poppies instead.
Me: hiya James. How’re you doing?
J: I’ve signed up for a charity skydive with the army
Me: oooh exciting. I’m making a new dress for your passing-in parade.
J: please tell me it’s not camo. That’s such a you thing to do and it’s be embarrassing.
Me: of course not!! That would be ridiculous!
*quietly sneaks this fabric back into the stash*
I know money is tight at the moment but if anyone in my sewing community can spare a couple of quid for my boy and his mates in his section to be thrown from a perfectly serviceable aircraft, I’d be dead grateful. All donations go to soldiers charity.
