What is Shea Butter? 🌰

Local to East and West Africa, the seeds of the Shea Tree are used for the white lipid which creates the butter making it consumable and applicable topically. It’s used in food preparation, medicinal, candle making, massage oils, skin care, and hair products.

Now the question here is what does it do for your lashes? 🧐

Shea butter encourages the growth of the eyelashes making them duller and longer, but also strengthens them as well!

Here’s a lil secret receipe for a lash balm 🤫

⭐️2 tbsp of organic Shea butter
⭐️1 tsp of extra virgin olive oil
⭐️Heatproof bowl
⭐️Cooking pot
⭐️small container

1️⃣ Make a double boiler with the cooking pot and heatproof bowl and add the raw Shea butter
2️⃣ add in the olive oil and mix well
3️⃣ empty the oil mixture into the container
4️⃣ allow the mixture to harden (about an hour)

How to apply:
⭐️melt the balm my rubbing in between your fingertips and massage on upper and lower eyelid
⭐️apply before bed and do this everyday for 2-3 weeks to notice positive results

Round Eye shape
- usually large, prominent, and more circular
- the innner and outer corners of round eyes are rounded and not pulled inward or outward

Monolid
- less apparent crease
- smooth eyelid, doesn’t reveal much of the eyelid

Hooded Eye shape
- heavy brow bone with a deep set crease
Eyelid isn’t generally visible and retracts into the crease

Downturn Eye shape
- outer corners and lower than the inner corner
- upper lid that dips to meet the lower lash line

Upturned Eye shape
- outer corners that turn upward and higher than the inner corner
- “cat” eyes
- bottom lash line curves upward to meet the top lashes at the putter corner of the eye

Almond Eye Shape
- smaller eyelids and llonger in width than they are round (like an almond 😉
- eye shape tapers to a pint on both ends
- outer cornea is generally hidden under the top and bottom lids
- apparent crease
