It has been four years since Orlando has been rocked by violence. Four years ago around three-hundred people went to the Pulse Nightclub to have a fun night, instead they were faced with violence and forty-nine people would never return home. Let us not forget this horrific crime. We will not let hate win.

This is what I created for my first project in my Digital Imaging class. We were asked to create a self portrait of any kind and to be creative.
This was my description for the photo and the techniques I used: Description: This photo is of me when I was in Brazil looking out of my friend’s apartment window, this was when I was going to leave two days later. I added a photo of me looking at my past self from my first month in Brazil. The main photo is mainly in black and white expect for me. This is because in the moment nothing else mattered, I remember thinking how scared I was in the beginning and now I did not want to leave. The photo in the window is from my first month, and I remember being so scared. The photo is blurred and discolored. This is because my memories were fading and looking back everything seemed blurred and like it was from 100 years ago.
Tools: I first used the eraser to make the skyline in the window transparent. I then duplicated the photo and desaturated it (image, adjustments, desaturate). I duplicated it so I was able to color myself in which I used the history tool for. For the image in the window, I first blurred it by using the smudge tool, this was because I did not like the blur the blur tool was giving and I preferred the smudge look. I then changed the vibrance(image, adjustments, vibrance) I changed the vibrance to 25 and the saturation to -65. I then resized the image so it would fit in the window. I then dragged down the layer of the window underneath the main photo, so it would be in the window.
