Summer time asks for (Dutch) orange wine☀️
More on the Orange (or better know as ‘skin contact’) wine in the next post… but temperatures have finally risen in London (while it last 😅) and making the most of it before moving to Rome this Saturday. Can’t wait to share my journey! 🇮🇹

We tried:
🥟 Bahn Cuon / steam rice rolls (northern Vietnam)
Handmade steamed rice rolls, filled with shiitake mushrooms, black fungus, onion and soybeans. Topped with friend shallots
🌟 I always love the gooey texture of steamed rice rolls! Paired with fresh herbs and a delicious dip, it was just right.
🥗 Seaweed salad
Can’t beat a fresh seaweed salad! Believe it or not but it was my favourite dish 🥇
🍜 Classic Pho
Packed with fresh veggies, rice noodles & fresh tofu. ⭐️ Light, balanced and fresh - how I like it!
Lovely service with a smile, great food and received a Jasmin tea on the house. Very generous portions for the ultimate food lovers.
Will be back soon to try their (huge!!) other Vietnamese classics made vegan 🌱.

🍷 VEGAN CHEEZE & WINE CELLAR! 🧀 // Have you seen my latest reel & review yet?
**Took mum on an adventure to the “during the day vegan cheeze monger “ and legends of the vegan cheeze wine cellar
Starting off with ringing the bell to enter, we were welcomed by the lovely owner and taken downstairs to the cellar.
It’s cosy and tiny with just 3 tables which makes the space very unique and intimate (date nights?!)
They recommend to follow the 5 Cheeze courses, paired with different wines and bread, ending with the “grand finale”.
As we were so keen on trying the “grand finale” we started our experience with a bang! The baked vegan camvert with no-honey drizzle & champagne pairing was an absolute win! According to mum, the flavour was as good as the “real-deal” and the champagne was the finishing touch to the flavour combinations.
Eager to try more, we opted for a second course “Esoteric” with the “blue cheezes”. Paired with a beautiful glass of rosé from the Provence (the best region for rosé if you’d ask me).
As I’ve never enjoyed blue cheese myself, I thought the flavours were subtle, soft and just right! We tried the baby blue, Nero minded and minerthreat.
The whole experience was magical, delicious and unique. I would 100% go again - still dreaming of that baked “Camemvert 💭 “**

Alter - a sensation of flavour!
Cuisine: Asian / fusion
A few weeks ago, I finally visited Alter after seeing so many of you writing great things about the restaurant.
What did we try?:
🍴Izakaya pickles
Best dish! LOVED it. The combination of sweet and sour was just perfect. Started off right as this was our favourite 🌟
🍴pizza Ajo Blanco
This was unreal, believe me, you have to try this! Such an unique dish and that flavour combination… just wow. I must admit that I had an option before trying it (how can fried dough be so good?) but no words describe how good this was. Just try it and taste for yourself! 🌟
🍴Salad with waterfall dressing
Hot fire flames 🔥😅 -it was too spicy for us (and I like some spice!). Sadly it affected the flavours of the other dishes and wines in this case! Would order again without (or little) chilli as it’s a nice refreshing salad.
🍴Dumplings in Kelp Broth
Nice and light! Lovely flavour combo.
🍴Noodles
Little spice, nice dish paired with other dishes.
🍴 Mapo Tofu
Love myself some tofu, would order again! Light and a good addition to the other dishes.
🍴Sticky salty Mango Rico
Lovely finisher! Would order again but with changes - less salt and more acidity
😃 Service: extremely lovely people. Very lively, fun and making sure you’re having a fantastic evening. We chatted with our waiter for a long while - friendly and passionate people!
I would highly recommend visiting alter. The dishes are unique, fully plant based and staff is making sure you’re having a great night. Perfect for special occasions and date night!

Susumaniello, a little red grape from the heel of the famous Italian boot, Puglia. Used to make red wine (Vero sud at Winery I pastini)
When visiting Locorotondo a few weeks ago, I got to do a wonderful wine-tasting at winery I pastini. It’s not a secret that Puglia is my favourite wine region. I was sad I didn’t bring an empty luggage!
Located in Valle d’itria with an amazing hand-picked method and wine list. Lucky us it was harvest season while visiting.

From Vegan Cheeze and “salmon” toasties to tempeh tacos and cauliflower crevice tostada. Mother works - an organic, sustainable plant based eatery in East London.
I’ve tried their shakes, coffee and lunch bowls which were delicious! Sadly, moved away from east London so not around the corner anymore but every Saturday, they have a special BBQ menu which I definitely have to try!
