I adore this little street, and have been planning to paint it for a while. Many of my wedding clients have their engagement photos on this street because it is such a picturesque area of Boston. I finally had an excuse to create this painting for a fun project I’ve been working on. 🤫

Throwback to my first time painting a wedding at two years ago on this day. I’ve been back many times since, and this venue is lovely! 🌅

So many guests stopped by to visit me at my easel during this event, and I was filled with gratitude on the drive home that I was able to experience so much love and kindness in this industry. ✨

These old New England churches have so much detail, it always makes for a fun challenge to paint them during an event. I have to be decisive and paint quickly. It can be exciting and nerve-wrecking at the same time, but if it doesn’t get your heart pumping then why bother? 😉

A client asked if I could paint the beach venue, Chequessett Club in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, where her close friends were getting married. We organized this gift in advance of the wedding, so it would be shared with the couple on their wedding day. Such a special keepsake for the newlyweds from a thoughtful friend.

My next wedding will be at one of the gorgeous properties to celebrate another sweet couple and paint their ceremony in front of their closest friends and family. 🥂

Sometimes I get the chance to meet my couples during the planning phase. Other times my first encounter with a couple is on their wedding day. My next wedding will be exactly that - I have not met, nor seen pictures of the couple. I will just show up at the venue with my painting supplies and look for the well dressed people at the alter. No pressure, right? 😂

Truthfully, I love the challenge of painting new people and new places “en Plein air”. Every experience is unique and I always leave the event with a fresh outlook and a new perspective. And quite a few new friends. 🤍

Stepping out of our comfort zone can be hard, but I highly recommend it. You just might surprise yourself with what you can do and who you will meet. 🙌🏼
