“The Journey of Recovery, Graduation Project of Students at MIU About Healing From Psychological Trauma

«رحلة التعافي»، هو مشروع تخرج 9 طلاب من كلية الإعلام بجامعة مصر الدولية، ويتناول الموضوع قضية الصدمات النفسية، والذي يطلقون من خلاله مبادرة لتخطي الأثار السلبية الناتجة من هذه الصدمات.

ويتناول مشروع التخرج مفهوم الصدمات النفسية والحلول الأمثل لتجاوزها، كما يتضمن المشروع إطلاق حملة لتوعية المواطنين بأساليب التعافي المختلفة من الصدمات النفسية، بطرق بسيطة ومبتكرة.

The “Recovery Journey” is a graduation project for 9 students from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Misr International University. The project is about psychological trauma. the students also launched an initiative to help overcome the negative effects of these traumas.

The graduation project deals with the concept of psychological trauma and the optimal solutions to overcome it. It also includes launching a campaign to educate people about the different methods of recovery from psychological trauma, in simple and innovative ways.

الطالبات المشاركات في المشروع هم مريم خالد هيبة، چنا جهاد، چينا حاتم، روزان تامر، سلمى البدراوي، نور أحمد الجندي، عبد العزيز عمر، يارا أكثم، هنا محمد.

ويقول الطلاب أن من أهم ما يميز الصدمات النفسية عن غيرها من الحالات النفسية هو كونها تصيب البشر العاديين “الأصحاء”، لا الذين يعانون فقط من حالات وراثية أو بيولوجية ولدوا بها، أي أن مخاطرها تهدد الجميع بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر، وفي حال لم يتم حل الصدمة، فقد يؤدي ذلك إلى خسارة الفرد فائدته لنفسه ووسطه ومجتمعه.

The students participating in the project are Maryam Khaled Heiba, Jana Jihad, Gina Hatem, Rosan Tamer, Salma Al-Badrawi, Nour Ahmed Al-Jundi, Abdel Aziz Omar, Yara Aktham and Hana Mohammed.

The students say that the most important feature that distinguishes psychological trauma from other psychological conditions is that it affects ordinary, “healthy” people, not those who only suffer from genetic or biological conditions. Its risks threaten everyone directly or indirectly. If the trauma is not treated, it may cause people to lose their self worth, and feel they are worthless to their community.
