Kansas City artist Megh Knappenberger Art recently visited Grace United Community Ministries, engaging the young students in a sensory-rich experience outdoors and inside. Megh, whose vibrant work has graced publications such as HERLIFE Magazine (KC), The Kansas City Star, and ESPN Kansas City, led activities that had the children exploring their garden to collect sticks, leaves, and other natural materials. This hands-on experience was designed to enhance their sensory skills and unleash their imaginations. Back in the classroom, the kids traced these objects, bringing their textures and shapes to life on paper. Renowned for her unique licensing by The University of Kansas, her beloved Kansas Jayhawks-themed artworks, and her celebrated pieces for other local sports teams like the The Kansas City Chiefs and KC Current players, Megh's visit was not just an art lesson but a journey into creativity and sensory exploration.
