Hi everyone 👋🏽!

Are you one of 88 million Americans who walked into your DOCTOR’S 🏥 office and were told that YOU HAVE PREDIABETES 🩸?

Hey everyone!

Wouldn’t it be great if you knew which foods were the MOST SATISFYING AND FILLING to help you LOSE WEIGHT and REVERSE DIABETES?

Well you’re in luck, because there is!
This list is called THE SATIETY INDEX and you can use it to help you REDUCE YOUR WAISTLINE and CONTROL YOUR BLOOD SUGAR!
The Satiety Index was developed by Dr. Susanne Holt as a tool for MEASURING HUNGER.

The INDEX uses WHITE BREAD as a baseline of 100, where foods are then ranked in comparison to it. Those that are LESS than 100 are considered to be NOT AS SATISFYING at white bread, while those ABOVE 100 are considered to be MORE SATISFYING.

We can use this TOOL to our ADVANTAGE by eating foods that WON’T SPIKE your blood sugars but still allow us to FEEL SATISFIED.

Here’s a LIST of some foods from THE SATIETY INDEX that you can try today:

• (unsalted) PEANUTS - 84%
• (plain regular or plain greek) YOGURT - 88%
• LENTILS - 133%
• CHEESE - 146%
• EGGS - 150%
• (non microwavable) POPCORN - 184%
• APPLES - 197%
• ORANGES - 202%
• (plain steel cut oats) OATMEAL - 209%
• (maybe try a smaller fish or salmon instead) LING FISH - 225%

Remember to wait 15-20 minutes after you finish eating any of these foods to see how you feel on a SCALE of 1-5. With 1 being famished and 5 being full.

Note your blood sugar before and then 15-20 minutes after you eat a particular food item. This will give you a good idea if it’s worth eating during the moments when hunger strikes based on how satisfied you are and how little your blood sugars react to it.

The complete SATIETY INDEX (consists of 38 foods altogether) has been well studied around the world with several scholars providing evidence of its usefulness but remember that you are the best judge of your OWN BODY. So keep in mind the TIPS from above when testing any of the foods above.

Hi everyone!

Did you know that a HORMONE IMBALANCE can trigger WEIGHT GAIN?

It’s a fact! There are many hormones that affect appetite and fat storage and when imbalanced can cause you to put on the pounds.

So what are these hormones that are responsible for your tummy?

INSULIN: Normally this is released to process sugar in your diet. However when you eat large amounts of sugar and carbs more and more insulin is released causing insulin resistance. Eventually this leads to weight gain and obesity.

LEPTIN: The satiety hormone lets you know when you are full and have had enough food. However in obese and overweight individuals leptin doesn’t work properly meaning there is limited signal to tell your brain you are full. This can cause overeating.

GHRELIN: The hunger hormone that regulates your appetite and tells you it’s time to eat. However in obese and overweight individuals ghrelin is low after meals (when it should be high) so again you can over consume.

CORTISOL: The stress hormone that is released when you are anxious. This hormone can cause overeating and fat to be deposited around the midsection.

ESTROGEN: An imbalance (too high or too low) can cause weight gain to occur.

And so many more hormones can affect your waistline!

So what should you do about it? There are ways to balance your hormones so that you don’t have to struggle anymore they include:

1) Eating a WHOLE FOOD DIET that consists of anti-inflammatory foods can help keep cortisol, leptin and other hormones in check.

2) Eating FIBER-RICH foods like cruciferous vegetables and flax seeds that helps hormones like estrogen and others stay in check.

3) Eating HEALTHY FATS such as avocados, fatty fish, nuts can balance insulin and help you lose weight.

4) AVOID sugar and refined carbs which help leptin, ghrelin, and insulin.

5) EXERCISE regularly great for leptin, insulin, and estrogen
Reduce stress a must to lower cortisol.

6) Get better SLEEP alters many hormones for the better.
