It's time to give back! I'd like to thank you all for your custom @ olivethurso it's very much appreciated. We have joined forces with an amazing woman from Georgemas Crafts ( Winnie ) is incredible and has offered her time and talent to show/teach people, adults and kids her craft.

This Saturday is craft day at Olive. This is a free event lasting at the most one hour per session.

Donations are welcome and are all going the SEAL REHAB AND RELEASE

Bookings are required I may also add.

Something for parents to bring there kids too.

Mothers day is just around the corner so a personalised card is perfect for that..

We are back with another paper crafting workshop in on Saturday.

This week the session is aimed at children who must be accompanied by an adult. The workshop is FREE, although a voluntary donation to Caithness Seal Rehab & Release. will be gratefully accepted.

The workshop takes place in the back room olivethurso 3 times during the day at 10.30, 12.00 and 13.30. Each session will last around 45-60 minutes. Booking is essential and can be made via Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/georgemas-crafts-61452022943 - or scan the QR code below.

Cards (all priced at just £2.00 each) and other papercraft items will be on sale on the day too - with all proceeds going to the Caithness Seal charity too. This is your chance to grab your card for Mother's Day early.

Georgemas Crafts olivethurso

Very excited to announce our first card-making workshop in Thurso in collaboration with olivethurso.

On Saturday 11th of February we will create cards with gorgeous gnome prints - valentine sentiments optional - it could be a card for anniversary or birthday or something else.

Workshops take place in the back of olivethurso 3 times during the day at 10.30, 12.00 and 13.30. Each session will last around 45-60 minutes.

Cost is £10 per child and £15.00 per adult and includes all materials, and coffee/tea/juice and cake/fruit. Everyone and every skill level welcome.

Every fortnightly Saturday from the 25th of June we will be open from 6pm - 10pm. This will be a BYOB and pizza night. Cheese boards and charcuterie boards available upon request when making a booking.

We are hoping to have live music at all of there event's.

I just have a update on what it going on at Olive.
We are open, the sign has been taken down to clean and to reposition as we are waiting additional signage.
We are open currently from 9am - 1pm
Monday - Saturday
This will be until we have completed our renovations, hopefully by March we will be extending our opening times also our menu.
Our renovations will be taking place in the next 2 weeks. And will take a few weeks.

Our menu is restricted just now but we are offering food, cakes too.

Hello all!

Finally after months of hatch service we have decided to open our doors.
It has been a challenging time but we kept our heads high and hopefully yours too. ( not just high from coffee )

Friday the 7th of May is when olivethurso blossoms once more.

Take-with service will still be available from the hatch door but are advised not to enter the building as we have a one way system in place and don't want to cause any congestion.

Bookings are preferred but not essential as we all have busy lifestyles we sometimes need that unexpected caffeine fix.

I would like to thank everyone as in worker's, contractors, staff, and most importantly our customers that have been very patient with us and our renovations but also for supporting a local business start up.
Without the support we have had from you all it would not have been possible to get where we are now so Thank you once again and ill look forward to seeing you inside.

Morning all!

For this week we will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Back open on Thursday.
We have a lot of things to sort out before the lockdown rules change again.
We are trying to get all the renovations done so we can have the place ready for opening before the new rules.
Therefore you all can come by and relax and see the finished product.

We have done our best to work our renovations in and around our opening times but you all just love coffee so much you have kept us behind the bar.

Hope you all survive the next two days with out your caffeine fix, we do have our coffee beans in bags. that you could buy. Just send a message and we can arrange you a slot to pick it up.

Just a quick update in to what is happening the next few days.

We are serving from our barn door thats situated on Brabster St.
It will mostly be open but when its really cold it will be closed. We are still open in this case..

If the open sign is on the street thats the indication that we are open and your welcome to come by.

Over the next few days we are only serving hot drinks.

We have renovations going on that means we can not make food aswell.

On Saturday and Sunday we will be back to normal. We have exiting things planned for the weekend. I shall update you more on that tomorrow evening.
