I’m sitting in between clients for a headshot session and thought I’d look for a photo to post…so here is the goofiest girl looking rather majestic. I’m a portrait photographer and 99% of my clients are humans, but maybe we should shake up those numbers? I LOVE animals (especially this one).

My favorite shot from a quick shoot with this gorgeous soul at Reed College. Pretty hard to choose, so you’ll likely see more of her. ❤️

A young boy at IPS School 88 was having a rough day when Sgt. Precious Cornner-Jones, Indiana State Police Capitol Police Section, stepped in to show him a moment of kindness.
This little fella was having a rough morning and fell out on the floor. I saw his mother step back and look. She stated this is how he is expressing himself lately. I decided to get on his level and talk to him. He started to cry so I wiped his tears and told him it will be ok. As an adult sometimes all we want is one person to stop, get on our level and maybe wipe our tears. These children are entitled to bad days just as us, so give them that moment to bring it together. Get on someone's level today and make them smile!! Spread PEACE and LOVE you might be that person that gives them hope!

Client Spotlight!
Alisa is a leader in our community and happens to be an AMAZING neighbor. She is an admin on my neighborhood Buy Nothing Group and even organizes an annual Easter egg hunt for all our kids- which is a blast! She collects eggs and small trinkets all year then fills the eggs and leads some volunteers to help hide them in the park nearby. It’s so great to meet your neighbors! She is making a difference doing important work and brings us all together. Thanks for trusting me with your headshot. Thanks for all you do!

The team over at Cristom were all looking dapper despite the trying hours/energy that harvest demands.

This was a fun shoot at Peninsula Park with the Moody’s! We did a nice mix of posed moments and prompts and we are putting together a GORGEOUS gallery wall with a combination of these photos as well as a few family favorites. Can’t wait to see it finished! I’ve really been on a black and white kick lately… but when it comes to editing family shoots, I usually do a mix of both. Some photos just look to me like they should absolutely be one way or the other. Do you have a preference?

They don’t stay little forever.

I leave almost every session feeling energized and excited. This one was no exception. When I rolled into Aimee’s beautiful home with all my gear to photograph the family/business team I was greeted by laughter (and bubbly). These ladies had done their headshot homework and made my job easy and an absolute joy. Thanks for trusting me Aimee, Molly, & Abby!

Any excuse to visit one of my favorite wineries along with some of my favorite people in the business, I’ll take. This team knows how to do it too. Not only were they easily coached (c’mon group photos can be tricky) but you could tell they all genuinely like each other. Can’t wait to see you all in Fall for another shoot (and more wine!). *t
