40 years of marriage for my parents - what a better way to celebrate than with a recreation of their wedding cake. 💘🎉

Fun fact: this was decorated and assembled in secret while my parents were at the beach! Fastest tiered cake I've ever decorated! 😅 The cake layers and buttercream were made in advance and they traveled with us from VA to NC.

Using gold royal icing instead of painting everything by hand is a no brainer! I will never go back to that because it is so time consuming.

Matching the pink to the bridesmaids’ dresses proved to be challenging, but I did it! 💪🏼🙌🏼😅

If you are in need of a vibrant food color, I would check out gel food colors! The best part is, you don’t need a ton to gel to achieve such great colors. 🤩👏🏼
