It’s this beautiful baby girls second birthday today, and I can’t tell you all how much I love her! She’s grown so much since this photoshoot, it makes my heart ache. ♥️ Happy Birthday little love, you bless everyone’s life that you touch with your infectious giggle and bright smile. There are times where I want to trade the mountains up for the beach…. But I will always be a mountain girl at heart. What brings peace to your soul? The mountains? The desert maybe? Or some nice waves at the beach? Maaaybe you’re a plains and open prairie kinda person? We have a lot of that here in Wyoming haha.

Revisiting a beautiful fall wedding this past season at The Elizabeth Hotel in downtown Fort Collins. There’s just something about this hotel thats reminiscent of the class and luxury of decades like the 1920’s.

Paired with a classy and vibrant couple like Justine and Chris, you have a recipe for a stunning, intimate wedding at The Sunset Lounge. A gorgeous rooftop to oversee the Rockies and a city glittered with the warm hues of fall. Just… dreamy.

I was so honored to be a part of this wedding. Their love for each other is palpable. The laughs, the smiles, and the joy was unending and contagious. I hope they are enjoying every moment of married life together!

Hello my sweet followers ♥️

I haven’t posted updates in awhile but I have a big one. This was really hard to decide and allow myself to do, but I will not be taking anymore clients until further notice. To my clients that are already booked or in the process of booking for 2023, please don’t fret, I’ll be there for the full process!

This break in my business is due to health concerns. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition ten years ago, and have battled with it throughout the years. Currently, I’m dealing with a flare up that’s been more unmanageable than any other time I’ve dealt with these health issues. There is a little bit of a medical mystery happening, but I’m working on building a team for proper care and treatment.

Unfortunately, these concerns have consumed the majority of my energy for most of this year and now I truly need to stop pushing so hard. I have to give myself physical and mental space for relief. I know that my health has affected many areas of my life including my business, and I want to get well and be able to deliver my usual high standard of work that Ive sadly not been able to give at times this year. I was toying around with taking a brief hiatus from photography, and then…. My body has quite literally brought me to a halt the past three weeks, and I knew it was time to make this decision official.

I’m going to be taking this time to rest, recover, and try and figure out how to manage my health concerns, and find healing. It’s also going to be a journey of grace and kindness towards myself. I never would’ve thought I’d be putting a pause on the things I love to attend to my health…. It’s time though. If I’m being fully transparent, I’m drained. Our health is everything - physical, mental, and emotional, and all three areas need my attention right now. I’m so sad to have to take a break, but I need to show myself some of that grace and love so I can come back in full force, and be able to give you my best. I want to come back and find joy in photography rather than stress.

It’s not easy to share all of this, but I want to be transparent, and I think even in business, it’s important to uphold a persons humanity. I’d be a hypocrite if I weren’t willing to share my own personal journey, the good and bad, along the way. I have been so blessed my clients this year as I relaunched my business. ♥️ you’ve all filled my heart with joy. I’m so thankful for each and everyone of you. God has seriously been so present in my life and in my business this year, it’s been the best journey. Thank you, everyone, for all of your support, love, and business this year. I hope to continue posting soon as I get caught up and also maybe find some time to edit some creative shoots I did earlier this year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to message me. The love they have for each other is genuine, kind, and so obvious. When I was photographing the wedding, I found out that they truly had built a friendship before they fell in love… and it all made sense. They are more than two people who fell in love, they’re friends first, two people who care for each other and respect one another in every aspect. Not to mention, insanely photogenic. ☺️ I’m so happy for Justine & Chris!

Their is something so beautiful about a child being welcomed to the world and seeing the love new parents have for this little life. Many blessings to this family as they embark on this new chapter of their lives ♥️

Something a little different today… Just a little shout out and appreciation for my family. This was a casual shoot day a few years back, where I took my camera on a hike with family… and made memories ♥️ My brother and his little family are some of my favorite people in the whole world and are some of my biggest supporters. I don’t know what I would do without them. Since this hike, another littles has been welcomed to the world and he is a hulk of a toddler. This is your sign, book that photoshoot. Time is so precious, and so often we only have photos to look back on the best moments of our lives. When I feel homesick for family, I scroll through my gallery and it brings me so much joy. If you don’t want to do a traditional photoshoot, adventure photoshoots are blast to capture your family participating in some kind of activity. Hiking, horseback riding, boating, or maybe even a day at the park! It’s worth it, having someone else capture memories for you, so you can focus on being in the moment. ♥️

How much interest would I have for Christmas Mini’s? I will book a whole day in November with enough interest! ☺️ Photos delivered in time to order Christmas cards!

The sweetest baby girl ♥️ I fawned over her on Instagram this morning and couldn’t resist Facebook. I love her dearly, and her momma and dad have become some of the greatest friends, I’m so blessed we have them. I’m lucky enough to get to capture their sweet memories. I can’t believe you’re over a year old little one!

The bond between a mother and her child is one that will always well my heart with joy. This momma and her sweet baby girl are a sight to see. A mother's embrace will bring you comfort, her smile will dry your tears, her encouraging words will build your confidence, and a mother's love will make any bad day a good one.

I love capturing Mommy + Me sessions, and I was so blessed that during this session we were also able to capture images to celebrate a year of breastfeeding. Oh did I fall in love with doing a breastfeeding session, I was so honored to capture and celebrate the significance of something so special. Nothing is too small of an achievement to celebrate ♥️ baby’s first steps, baby’s first birthday, breastfeeding for a day or for a year. Celebrate you and your little ones as often as you can!

To me, it’s a photoshoot that gives women the chance to see themselves in a new way, to celebrate themselves. Some of my gals have said such mean things about themselves, and then they see the photo on the camera and tears brim their eyes and they ask ‘that’s me?’ Yes, darling. And you are stunning, it’s not me that makes YOU beautiful. I may know the flattering poses and how to make you laugh (mostly because I’m a bit dorky), but it’s YOU that shines.
