“Finding my Boaz”
It’s been nothing but assignments and essays for the past 6 months, so I chose something (or rather someONE) fun to write about. It’s a little bit mushy but he’s worth it.
Side note: Naomi from SheerImage Photography is incredible! Book her for your next special event / family portraits. I know we will 🙂

Bree Bond – Hopeful Author I was the 12 year old who thought Hawaiian shirts were cool. (In my defense, they were all the rage and I did look amazing). 12 was the age I started spending every Friday night at youth group. I can remember meeting him that first night, but if you had told me then (or anytime during the next 5 yea...
NEW BLOG: Living in the “YET” can be found at www.breebond.com.
How do we have a heart and perspective that echoes these words from Habakkuk 3:17-18?
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, YET I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.”
“An Audience of One” A beautiful friend of mine has mentioned these words to me a few times lately and it’s stuck with me. Does the size of our audience matter? Can anyone make a difference in this world? Who are living our lives for?
Check out www.breebond.com for some thoughts.
Bree Bond – Hopeful Author Everywhere we turn we are faced with the same advice. “All you need to do is (insert the latest social media fad) and you’ll grow your followers.” or “Do x and you’ll become a millionaire!” It can be a constant barrage of exhausting messages, all focused on increasing your influence and ...
At times, life can be filled with disappointment. Even the optimists among us have to admit that. We can often expect the unexpected.
So with the latest lockdown adding to an already heavy and overwhelming 15 months across the globe, how do we find joy?
Here’s some ideas - www.breebond.com
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1.

I’m praying for you!
In a recent conversation with a good friend of mine, on The Take Heart Podcast, we spoke through some of the practical ways that we can BEHOLD THE FATHER.
Here’s a quick summary if you want to read some of them. It’s not at all an exhaustive list, just a few things we’ve tried over the years or heard of from others. Hope they are useful for you in your quest to prioritise God and give Him the rightful place in your life, that He deserves.

Join us for episode 2, as we unpack how our focus shifted away from God and onto ourselves. Why is it such a massive issue? And how can Jesus refocus us?
Have you ever felt like a fraud? Like the task ahead of you is too difficult for you to carry out? Like one day people will discover you’re not as capable as they thought you were?
Maybe clicking on www.breebond.com this week might help you.
New project coming soon!
Can’t wait to share it with you all 😀
Like my blog, it’s way out of my comfort zone but it’s in these moments I have the assurance that God is leading the way. He is always faithful to His promises. What a joy it is to live life for Him!
“BEHOLD, I [God] am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
ASK SEEK KNOCK. What an incredible thought that the creator of the entire universe concerns Himself with us mere humans, and is always ready and eager to hear from us.

A few months back I wrote a piece about my grandpa, Frank and how his faith in Jesus was truly foundational for mine. If you’re interested, it’s now live. I hope it’s an encouragement to you.

Bree Bond – Hopeful Author They say that a true legacy lasts well beyond a lifetime. One that continues to influence, shape and nurture future generations beyond the grave. It’s rare to find that in a hardworking, salt-of-the-earth man-of-the-land. A legacy usually reserved for people with a platform, fame or fortune. So of...
Kid free night with this guy! 😍
It took me a few days but I’ve found my WORD FOR THE YEAR ahead.
BEHOLD.

How incredible is this?! What are we doing to ensure we are faithful, obedient and make the most of our time on this earth?
Have you ever wondered what Mary must have been thinking when an angel of the Lord told her she was going to give birth to Jesus? I imagine she felt completely unprepared and incapable of the assignment God gave her. Maybe she thought, “Why me? Surely, there is someone more qualified or someone who has stronger faith.” But God doesn’t make mistakes. God chose Mary on purpose, for a purpose, and he gave her his extraordinary power to fulfill this purpose.
Now, can I tell you the best part? The same is true for you. God has extraordinary purpose for you—right where you are.

For those who don’t know her, this is the one I refer to as “THE BOSS LADY.” A woman that I and everyone who knows her holds in high esteem.
She has wisdom, empathy, compassionate, education, Bible knowledge, emotional intelligence, patience, love and grace bursting out of her.
She has given me opportunities, love, support and friendship I could never have imagined could come from a leader.
Plus she is WAY more classy than I will ever be! Thanks for being you!
The realisation that God doesn’t fit neatly into my plans, that He doesn’t run alongside (or behind) me fulfilling my every wish and that His plan is always infinitely better than mine.

I could add no words to strengthen this truth. How incredible is it!
Starting off my week of meditating on the Psalms 😍 Such powerful expressions of deep faith, raw humanity and incredible truths about our Creator God.
Hey friends, this past week wasn’t something I had planned to write about publically, but after sharing my story with a few people close to me they all encouraged me to, in the hope that it would encourage someone, so here goes.
This is by far the most vulnerable I’ve ever been and is still pretty raw but I just hope it helps someone in some way.

Today I am grateful for:
- God’s protection over our family this last week
- our eldest son getting his neck brace on so he can walk again after 5 days in bed
- knowing that he will actually walk again
- the fact that he can eat again!
- the simple joy of watching him eat hot chips
- family and friends who have dropped EVERYTHING to help
- get well soon balloons that make him smile when he’s been staring at the roof for 5 days
- his love for movies and the Switch that have sustained him while he’s in hospital (I’m not kidding, he’s watched Goosebumps 6 times) 🤪
- the staff at for absolutely everything
- our youngest returning to school today and knowing he will be surrounded by people who love him
- God’s provision and sovereignty every single moment of every single day.
“This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!”
Hey friends! Despite the title of this one, it really is advice that is relevant for men too, so don’t be turned off by the title.
It is the best marriage advice I’ve been given and I’m praying it blesses you. Thanks Cyndie Storie for passing on your wisdom.

I was asked today to share at an PA forum about my writing journey. This verse is pretty key for me before, during and after I write anything. It’s my hope and prayer that anyone reading my work would see more of God’s power and less of my skills.
I am constantly encouraged by all of you, so thank you!
Some highlights from my weekend away. Wrote a lot, read a lot, listened a lot, learnt a lot. Rarely wore shoes.
Feeling incredibly relaxed and grateful for a weekend away to write, read, listen, walk, meditate and rest.
Thanks for being such a supportive husband! And thanks for also giving Scott a bit of a break. What a team!
“I am a full time working, SUV-driving soccer mum, an Executive Assistant, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a home-owner, a Sydney-sider, a shower-singing, chocolate-loving, beer-drinking Christian.”
So what does that mean for how I live my life? And do I care what you think about it? And me?

What a book! has simultaneously ruined and enriched my love of watering our gardens 😉 he has opened my eyes more to the importance of cultural study and contextualisation than ever before, he has been pivotal in my writing journey so far and he has shown me more simple ways of sharing my faith. Thank you so much, you’re a legend 👍🏼
We’ve all been there. We’ve all tried it, at least once. Thinking we could outrun or outwit the One who created us. Why are we so slow to learn?
Have a read and see just how successful running away from God can be:

The One Who Ran Away From God I recently watched The Bible Project’s summary of the book of Jonah and this blog includes notes from that, as well as my own reflections.
For my prayer for my children...
“My sons, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding-indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:1-6
Fiji 2017.
What a life changing trip.
Enveloped in the welcoming and joyous arms of the Fijian people, surrounded by strangers who soon became dear friends and intimacy with my Heavenly Father I’ve never known before.
I hope that reading this encourages you somehow.

This is the start of a new series focusing on God’s UNFAILING LOVE especially despite the actions of His people. In this instance we interact with the experiences of Sarah and Hagar and see God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Thank you so much to all of you who have LIKED this page! I am praying for you regularly and hope this continues to be an encouragement for you.
If you’re wanting more, let me know. God bless!
New blog is live. I have been praying about this one for a long time and really hope it’s an encouragement for you. Would love you to share the link in my bio if you think others would benefit from it too. Thanks friends
It’s so freeing to know that someone else is in control of this crazy thing we call life.
How do I Survive the Never Ending to-do list? I’m sure we can all relate to this stressful question. Our lives are so busy! How did we get like this? How do we prioritise God, our mental and physical health, our time, our relationships, our career, our family, our money, our priorities, when they are often in conflict with each other?
Check out www.breebond.com.
Hopefully a quick glimpse into the usual chaos a family has and some helpful tips I’ve learnt along the way will be a blessing to you.
PS this was written during Covid so add to the chaos: swimming lessons, soccer training and 4 soccer games a week! 🥺
New blog coming soon...can you guess what it’s about?
It’s been a pretty big 6 months. For the first time ever I have used a goal board and it has paid off. If you’re anything like me and you LOVE ticking things off the never-ending to-do list, then this might make you happy.
I have never before been so focused and disciplined (except for the...ah...weight loss goal...) but outside that I’m doing alright. 🤣
I took the attitude at the start of the year to buy and read every book that was recommended to me. This is my list so far for 2020. I am so grateful for every single author on this list, for the blessing, wisdom and knowledge you have already brought into my life, faith, marriage, family and ministry. I’d recommend every single book on this list (with a special shout out to Katelyn Beaty, thank you for validating so much of what I have been feeling for years).
These last few of months have been filled with encouragement, support and prayer as I step into the weird new world of blogging.
Thank you so much to everyone who has contacted me since this launched last week. You have been such a blessing to me. I’m so glad what I’m writing is resonating with people.
Thank you also to the team of people who made this happen, creatively: . You blow me away with your talent and generosity!
Thank you to my team of prayer warriors who are praying over all of this.
God is using you all and I’m very grateful!
Excited for the next 2 days ! New Testament Intensive with Katie Haldane from . Eager to hear your teaching and wisdom and excited to be doing it with mumma bear 😍
