Epic's free game to claim this week is Farming Simulator 22. I'm sure a lot of you have it but if not, this would be a great way to get started!

Decided to check out PolyFir Studios' Freightliner Cascadia edits and I can say I am pretty impressed. I'm also utilizing his SCS bumper tweaks too but they are not showcased in these pictures.

Anyways, this is a combination of their 116" BBC Daycab, Cascadia headlight update, and Cascadia deflector update.

Daycab:

It's awesome. He's edited all of the SCS parts to fit in one way or another. The normal Cascadia parts are not greyed out though so you will need to select the parts that have his UI icon to select the correct parts. One other issue I've noticed is that the bumper has an unnecessary shadow on it, almost like the shadow model is still using the normal hood.

It's well built and I could believe it came stock with the truck. I especially enjoy the usable work lights as displayed in the night photos. No, those are not the reverse lights. You can activate these at any time! Nice feature.

Headlights:

I highly recommend these even with the normal truck. He has greatly improved the textures and even included some projector options.

Fairings:

I only recommend this if you plan on using the daycab (doesn't function with other cabs lol). It's a bit different than the normal deflectors and includes an aerodynamic shorter version too. While I could live without it, I do enjoy using it.

Toast has done a great job at explaining and showcasing the new features. I'm very happy myself that they softened the shadows. Those jagged shadows, bleh.

Browsing the groups and someone mentioned Retro Development's T600 mod for the SCS W900. You know me, I had to give it a try! Paired up with Faelandaea's Great Dane, I'd say this free combo is looking snazzy. Maybe too snazzy....😎

While the T600 is limited to the sleeper options and long frame, it's nice to see another anteater out and about. I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

Worth checking out! I've known Robert for years and can vouch that his work is worth the peak. He dabbles in both U.S. style and MEX style mods!

Playing around with a few free mods today.

The Kenworth W900 is the SCS W9 with Burubin's W900 Chrome Shop mod. It feels like it is tailored towards those who like the custom, chrome side of customization but I was definitely able to make a truck I'd drive out of it. At a small size of 20mb, I would definitely recommend this in your shop. While you may not use all of the options, I'm sure there is one or two that would pimp that ride a little better!

Next up is Faelandaea's trailer pack. The moment I tried this pack out, I knew it would be in my fleet for a long time. Now these trailers are opposite, they are tailored to those fleet guys who like just a minute amount of customization. Sure, you get a few added lights but there are so many aerodynamic options, I was in love. That being said, I was still able to get a good look with it in stock form with the W9.

In this photo, I was using the Great Dane Champion but the pack also includes a Great Dane Everest, Utility 3000R, Utility 4000D-X, Hyundai Translead Composite and Hyundai Translead ThermoTech.

That being said, this mod is 2.5gb so some may feel put off by the size. Just remember, you are getting 6 trailers in one file.

It can't hurt to give either of these free mods a try!

Oooh mama. I think I'll be using this more than the VNX, looks amazing! It's great to see folks putting details into the interior now too.

Ruda knocked it out of the park with the Cascadia. He's taken advantage of the rebirth of animated cabs and I did find myself swerving back and forth just to watch it rock 😂 I did add my own touches to it but I believe an official Evo version will come in the future.

Now to pick up the ATSAccessories version and do a little comparison!

Awe, I missed Free Mod Friday. Nevertheless, this week I found out about a free mod by Faelandaea. You may recognize his work from his previous Utility 3000R/4000D-X mod that is discontinued on Steam. Well, he's back with a much larger pack! It consists of 3 trailer brands currently with multiple options. Here is the current list from the steam description:

I highly recommend checking it out. It's on the road to being one of the best packs out there and is already up there in the top best free mods for ATS in my opinion!

Shout out to Jacob94 on this beautiful Harley-Davidson Edition Lonestar. There's PLENTY of customization on this truck but I decided to go with the traditional look. And yes, it even has a long frame for the super truckers out there.😉

Next on the agenda:

Interior nodes for SCS accessories, GPS, and possibly SISL support
Rework of gauge needle accuracy
Fitting DC aero accessories from Cascadia onto SD cab
4x2 chassis
Proper UI shadows for each chassis

Needed a reason to take a road trip and test these SBA collisions. ATS Trucks and Trailers Reviews came thru strong with the Etnyre Blackhawk! This is my first load and while it only has a 2+3+2 configuration, I'm super excited to see his future configs.

Alright, the truck still had collision issues but after adjusting it again, I drove it around with multiple chassis options for a half hour tonight with no problem. I am 99.9% sure it is completely fixed. The update is uploaded on the itch.io page. My apologies again to everyone. I know it isn't a small file by any means, collisions just didn't cross my mind when I was finishing the truck.

My next update will be focused on the previously mentioned issues and a rework of the shadows. It bugs me when a truck doesn't have proper shadow.only setups so I will be going through and making low poly shadows for ALL parts so you won't have any see thru hoods under the truck haha!

I also went ahead and made the fifth wheel slightly bigger to accommodate the modded trailers that may have a raised node.

Friends, the Outlaw W900 is now available for download! The direct links to Mediafire for the truck and add-ons are available on my website.

No amount of testing will ever ensure this many moving parts are completely free of bugs and issues, so consider these first few days a public beta and assume there will be one or two updates in the near future. If you come across a bug (ironing out existing functionality for now, not general thoughts or suggestions at this time) shoot me an email or post in the comments below. (There are a couple of flares that aren't perfect yet, but I don't want to hold off on release)

The links to the truck and add-ons will remain the same. If you were part of the beta, make sure you sell the truck and deactivate the beta version first.

As we progress into the release, I wanted to give a shout out to Seriousmods. He hooked us up with a neat drom rack for the Freightshaker pack.

In the future, it'll feature it's own set of airlines hanging from the holder. For now, I would recommend just using the airline box. 🤪
