Basketball is in the air! Tryouts begin tomorrow for these young men!! They join forces again with the 8th grade group (last time they played together was when they were in 4th grade) . Big challenges but big opportunities are in front of these individuals this year as they will be playing against 8th graders in both the LKC and Wood County Leagues!!

End of the Season Fall League Champs in the 7th and 8th Grade Divisions !!
What a talented group of athletes !! More importantly- these young men are friends on and off the court- they have a guiding moral compass that is second to none and I have never seen a group of individuals that work!! They are constantly competing with each and themselves to work toward accomplishing the ultimate goal of winning a State Championship down the road!!

Not in Eli’s house!! This is a big boy block! #11 was a dude and Eli put the hammer down on him in this picture! Not sure what C**t was doing down there amongst the Sequoia Trees but he had a front row seat to this beauty!!

Great Day of basketball! Boys finished 2-1 on the day losing in a heavy weight battle versus SC Hustle Black - SC Hustle is the best 6th grade team in WV and they currently have rostered 2 top 150 kids in a National Ranking Data base! Apollos jumped out to a 12-4 lead and maintained the lead throughout the 1st half until the last 3 minutes! Second half saw a battle of scoring back and forth ! Both teams battled until the final buzzer! Good guys lose a tough one 67-65! Back to the drawing board this week!!

Apollos played in a tough tournament this weekend in Portsmouth- Ohio! Finished the weekend 4-1 , losing in the championships team to a talented Ducks 2029 team who played the number 1 team in the nation two weeks ago and got beat by only 15. The boys were humbled a little as they got beat by 50😳 With that being said- we got better this weekend and now have a benchmark to reach!!

Bracket play was brutal today! We played two athletic and talented teams that were very physical ! Boys ended up going 2-0 but nothing about today was easy!!
